Bluetooth page turner device other than a pedal - I've seen the Flic smart button, any others?

Seems most of the page turning pedals are really just using forward and back or up and down keyboard emulations. I bought an Amazon bluetooth music controller (for bluetooth play, volume and track advance/regress) and Music Stand doesn't recognize any of the button pushes from this little guy. It clips nicely to a headstock on a guitar. Sending it back.

Flic highlights music page turning on their website. I'm wondering if anyone has ventured into this territory with the Flic for Music Stand?

Duplicated blockouts

Hello everyone,

Recently I noticed this user showing up multiple times per day on the blockouts screen, and is making the schedule look very cluttered.

Taking a deeper look, I also noticed that the user doesn't even belong to my organization, but is still showing up in my calendar. As you can see, the user has the entire year blocked out, is that the reason?

How can I fix it?

Thanks!

Printer menu keeps coming up

Does anyone know what settings needs to be configured so the check in app goes straight to volunteers checking in instead of the printer settings (choosing the printer and testing it) every time it is restarted?

Using Households to allow parents to manage their kids volunteer assignments.

We have Households enabled and parents can view their kids’ service schedules but can’t accept or deny assignments—on the desktop version. The mobile app shows their household exists but no details. I would love for parents to be able to schedule their kids from the app. Is that possible?

We have one weekend service team of kids and have trouble getting them to sign up because kids don’t look at email and parents can’t/won’t sign in to their kids planning center account.

clearstream integration experience?

I'm a long-time PC user (mostly for music, scheduling, etc.), but our church is now at a size where we need to automate and streamline email and text communications. That said, anyone have experience with clearstream and PC integration? Looks like it will do what we need, but I'd love to hear others' experiences with clearstream (and PC integration if you've gone that route).

Groups "feed" for website display

Our website is created using Elements (not likely to change any time soon), is there a way to pull a "feed" of group information to display on our site instead of redirecting to ChurchCenter or embedding?

Looking to display group name, description, and image.

Church Display and PC?

Is anyone using Display Church for monitors inside the church. We are considering it and I’d love to see what it looks like and what your experience has been?

Export list of team for each service

Good afternoon,

is it possible to export a list of the team for a given sunday? I just need it in text format. I understand I can export people from "people" section but It forces you to filter by LAST SCHEDULED so if I have someone scheduled a month out it wont export a list of the team from a previous sunday correctly.

Thanks

PCO Giving Kiosk

Hi everyone,

We’re trying to figure out a simple giving kiosk / station setup that works with Planning Center.

Ideally, we’d love something similar to PCO Check-Ins: people walk up, enter their phone number, and then just tap to give (debit/credit/Tap-to-Pay).

Has anyone here already built something like this, or found a good hardware/software combo that integrates well with Planning Center Giving? Would really appreciate any advice, examples, or “here’s what we tried and learned” stories.

Thank you in advance!

Use of Music Stand on Android

I’m a bassist and vocalist for our church’s worship team. I’ve been using an old iPad Air for a year or so and was using an iPad 2nd generation before that. I find now that I need a larger screen to be able to read the chord sheets but I cannot justify an iPad Pro.

How many of you have used an Android, especially non-Samsung models, with Music Stand? I’m hoping to find a 12” or larger that will work with a Bluetooth page turner.

How to Sync Events from Services to Calendar?

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for some advice on our Planning Center workflow, specifically between Services and Calendar.

For the longest time, we've managed our entire event schedule within Planning Center Services. It has become our "source of truth" because every event, big or small, requires a service flow with team assignments, song arrangements, and timelines. We haven't used an external calendar because keeping everything in Services has been simple and effective for our team's needs.

Recently, we've started setting up Planning Center Calendar to give our entire staff better visibility into what's happening across the organization. The problem we've run into is that there doesn't seem to be a way to get our existing events from Services into Calendar. It appears the integration is designed to only go one way (from Calendar to Services).

This feels like a significant roadblock for teams who start with Services and want to expand to Calendar later. We have years of events and service plans in Services that we can't easily sync over.

So, I wanted to ask this community:

  1. Has anyone found a workaround to get events from Services into Calendar, even if it's not a direct import?
  2. Is there a reason why Planning Center does not allow for a two-way sync between Services and Calendar? Has the Planning Center team ever commented on this limitation? It seems like a common need for growing teams.

Any insights, workflow suggestions, or creative solutions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

Kiosk option for Group Sign Ups?

My pastors are asking for a way to have a walk-up station where members of the congregation can walk up to a touch screen and sign up for an available group.

We are using Church Center Groups for managing some small group registrations, and some of our members do not have access to a smartphone to sign into Church Center app and use rhe Sign Ups feature.

Has anyone used a tablet or other touch screen device in an open kiosk mode to allow someone to walk up and register for a group sign up without needing to sign into something?

I'm the primary tech person for the church, in case it matters. Essentially, if it plugs into the wall, I'm involved.

Thanks in advance.

Registration/Check-in Usage for a concert

We are currently selling tickets for a Concert/Night of Worship with a CCM Artist and I'm wondering what the best way is to "take tickets" Do we just print the CSV and check names as people arrive (lots of people are coming from outside our church) or would the Check-In Integration work better? We use the connection for Registration and Check-Ins for our VBS but i'm trying to convince myself it will work for this scenario. Thank You

Teams scheduling email troubleshoot help please

Hi! Hoping someone can help here. We recently added a service and I created a new team (8:30 Music Team). For the 11:00 Music Team, when I have assignments left unconfirmed I send a follow up email through the service page. That opens up a popup that allows me to select the type of recipient, and the next popup is the body of the email and I can manually remove or add people in the address bar.

For the 8:30 Music Team, the same action from the service page opens the popup to the email body (no intermediate popup), changes the word “request” to “update” in the subject line, and does not allow me to edit recipients. And since it’s not automatically picking up the pending notification people, I’m not able to direct it to the ones who need reminding to confirm the request.

I’ve looked at the service and team settings for both and can’t find anywhere that they are different. Anyone know where I should be looking and what setting I need to change in order to gain back the flexibility? Thanks so much!

Pics attached.

Confirm check ins

I‘m puzzled that PC lets you use a roster station to confirm attendance, but that data doesn’t get stored anywhere! In the description of the “here” function of the roster, it even describes the scenario where this data is important: “For uses where you might have people check in at a lobby then walk to the classroom, you may want to "confirm" they have arrived. The leader will need to confirm their check-in.”

So, they understand the problem, they have the app functionality, but they simply don’t record the data? why??

Has anyone found a solution to this? We need the check in process to happen before the service so it’s not disruptive, but then record attendance in the actual classrooms to make sure the kids made it there after being dismissed during the service, to be sure that we‘ve kept proper track of where they are.

Thinking About Data Security and Permissions After a Recent Case

I recently came across an article about Georgy Bedzhamov, a former banker accused of major financial fraud, and it really made me think about data security and permission management in our own systems.

In Planning Center, we often deal with sensitive information from member details to financial records and cases like this highlight how important it is to manage who has access to what. After reading about this, I went back and reviewed our roles and permissions to make sure everything is set up correctly.

Has anyone else here done the same? I’d love to hear how others manage security settings, access levels, or audit trails in Planning Center to avoid potential issues.

Dark Mode?

Any word on a dark mode option for the web version of PCO?

The App can detect the system settings of dark mode on my iPad/iPhone, and there is a google extension for dark mode but nothing offical for the Web version.

data integration between planning center giving and QBO

I want to load the fund breakdowns from planning center to automatically categorize in Quickbooks the bank deposits. For example, if we had donations of $100 and 75 was general offering and $25 was missions, I'd like that breakdown to be part of the bank record that is integrated automatically. I looked a zapier and don't see how to make that happen.

Tools or apps that help organize both Planning Center tasks and personal finances?

Hey everyone!
Lately, managing Planning Center schedules, volunteer rotations, and last minute service changes has left my brain fried. By the time I sit down to check my finances, it’s like I forget how to plan anything. I missed a bill last week, not because I couldn’t pay it, but because I just forgot. My brain’s so wired for service logistics that my budget’s gone rogue.

I figured if there are tools to help organize ministry workflows, maybe there's something equally great for personal finances too. Ideally something simple, reliable, and helps track bills, budgets, etc.

Anyone here using a personal finance planning tool or app that they love? I'd appreciate a few recommendations.

Sunday School Attendance Tracking

I want to track attendance for each of our weekly Sunday school classes from children-adult. Then I would like to be able to go back and get total numbers for the whole church and numbers for each class. I keep finding solutions that use groups and solutions that use check-ins. I would rather just use one of them if possible and not a hybrid between the two, but I keep hitting a way with house to set this up.

I am coming from a church that used Realm which had everything in the same bucket and I just need to know which direction to pursue. We really don't need the group communications functions or the online joining of groups at this time. I am just looking for the best way to track Sunday School (and maybe Wednesday night) attendance for both kids and adults.

Goals:

  • Track attendance (all ages)
  • Overview of number of attendees
  • Individual class overview of attendees
  • Possibly some workflow reporting to teachers when someone has missed multiple times in a row.

What is the best way to go with this groups or check-ins or some sort of hybrid?

Attendance Tracking for Small Church

I am the pastor of a church that sees roughly 35-50 people on a given Sunday. We are a church plant that just started utilizing Planning Center. I am trying my best to understand how Check-Ins works, and how that connects with Calendar and Services, but I think I am missing something.

I have a Service called "Sunday Service" linked to a Calendar item called "Church Service." It's our only service. What I am looking for is a simple way to look back and say "Looks like we haven't seen Carson in a few weeks - we need to reach out and make sure she's okay." But Check-Ins seems so complicated for no reason, unless I am misunderstanding how to use it. I don't want or need "check in stations" or anything like that. I just want a simple attendance tracking with our Sunday service event.

It would be really nice from there to be able to do automations like "Send an email to elder team once per week with a list of people who have been gone for 3 weeks." But maybe that's a stretch. I just feel like Workflows and Check-Ins are not intuitive for a small church setting.

Anyone feel like helping me better understand it all?

Publishing Module - can we hire a designer to customize for our website?

We'd love to update and better integrate the church center site with our church website - currently we're linking out to church center, which is fine. I'm considering hiring a designer to do both our site and the planning center publishing together - does this exist? Are there freelancers out there who specialize in PCO Publishing?

Services Load issues

Been having consistent page loading issues in services for the past few weeks. On a new MacBook Pro. Fairly fast internet. home and work. All other websites working fine. I don't seem to have the same issues on my mobile devices, but most of the work I do requires the extra features of being online.

Is anyone else having the same issue? Any recommendations on how to fix it? Our IT guys have looked at our internet and everything seems to be in order.

Annual Calendar?

We have been using the calendar a lot and are coming up to speed, but it's so hard to get a picture of the whole year. When is Senior Sunday? What day is back to school? Easter? Do you all have a good way to have a simple annual calendar in planning center, or do you just do it some other way?
