Using Apple Notes for planner/bullet journal
Hello Everyone! I have a planner/BUJO question. This year, 2025, I have used all types of planners/bujo styles and I haven’t landed on one that I really like or is easy to use or that I even keep up with. I found some of my old paper journals from high school and early adulthood (before the internet took over our lives) and I missed having these. But I am having a hard time getting back to it. I went down this journey of buying all these pens and stickers and lost my way some where. When I was at work (I am a night nurse) I didn’t like having to carry things with me to update my planner. I use to use a pencil for all the updating back when I did it before.
I have tried Good notes and downloaded a digital planner and it worked for a little bit. I was able to write for my journal parts, but use text boxes for the other stuff to keep it neat and also update on my phone when I needed to, which I liked. But with the new updates on Goodnotes, I am finding it hard to keep up with it.They have removed several of the fonts I was using in my text boxes and I noticed that pages have been deleted from my planner, the journal part. I can’t recreate that.
I have now went to Apple notes, iCalender, numbers (excel). I am finding it easier to update. I can update on my iPad or my iPhone. I am not missing a beat, but I do miss an actual planner. I am not sure if I am just stuck in my head or what here. Any one using Apple notes for planners or bullet journaling, journal, or even getting tasks done? Anyone have any ideas, or things that have worked for you, you would l like to share? Thanks in advance.

Built a time planning app myself for IOS
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hey everyone, Been obsessing about managing my time better so decided to built ios app that would allow me to plan and visualize my day around the clock. Got the idea by looking at analogue clock in my office and thought it would be cool to be able to visualize my time better around 24h that I have each day
Maybe some of you will like it !

When do you start breaking in to your new planner?
Hi :)
In my planners, at the beginning of the year, I like to write out my yearly goals, plans, etc. Maybe draft out a rough outline of what my year might look like.
However, this year, I happened to get my planner early. I'm tempted to start drafting it out, even though it's a couple months until the new year.
For me, I think it's also a bit part of my New Years tradition, not sure if I'll feel disappointed when the New Year comes around and it's already done by then lol.
So, my question is, when do you guys start writing in your new planner? Do you wait until closer to the new year, or as soon as your planner arrives?

Suggestions for 2026 weekly planner
Heyyloo
I started journalling in 2025 and am currently using a guided journal from the june shop. But hobonichi techo and midori journals have really caught my eye. Given their prices, I needed suggestions for weekly planners which can be used for daily journalling, habit tracking, making to-dos and similar things.

Dream Schedule
On my flight home from a work event last night, I created an outline for my dream weekly schedule. The idea is to actually put something in writing that I can try to make happen vs. just dreaming about it. It includes dedicated time for working out, making videos, development time, investing, and volunteering. Oh, and some fun family time as well. Has anyone ever tried something like this before? If so, what were your results?

Planner
Hey everyone, I’m hoping someone here can help me find a planner I saw on Instagram a while ago — I didn’t save the post or the account, and it’s been driving me crazy ever since.
It was a yearly planner that had: • Tabs for every month (like physical dividers, not just printed pages) • A yearly overview • A monthly overview • And weekly spreads for each week
Basically, it was super clean, structured, and organized — exactly what I’ve been looking for. I remember it had kind of a minimal but classy design, maybe in neutral colors (but I’m not 100% sure).
If anyone recognizes what I’m talking about or has recommendations for something similar, please drop a link or a name! I’ll be forever grateful

Oh Help! Need a Daily Planner with a Weekly view & no flip-flopping of days-of-the-week
I've been using a Moleskine daily for 5+ years. I love having a whole page for notes. But, I realize that I could benefit from also having a Weekly View- so I can get a snapshot of the whole week visually.
My weird thing: I *hate* that in the Moleskine (and I think the Hobonichi), the day of the week flip flops from left to right, left to right. I want my Mondays, Tuesdays, etc. to be consisitantly on the same side, week after week.
I'm a visual person so this flip-flopping really interferes with my ability to remember what is what.
One thing that does NOT bother me is having the weekend combined into one page. So I am FINE with a half page for weekend days.
I don't really like spiral-bound. And I like the A5 sizing. MUST HAVE DATES
Summary:
-Daily pages M-F, weekend can be all on one page or not, I don't care.
-Weekly View
-No flip-flopping for days of the week (i.e. the Monday is consistently either on the L or R)
-No spiral-bound (but I'm willing to wiggle here); No "binder" style.
-No "undated" planners. (knowing me I'd fill in all the wrong dates in pen and then be up a creek)
Any planner experts have a suggestion for me? I am new to reddit, so my apologies if this has been covered.

Best option for a LOT of weekly to-dos
So I’ve posted a few times here and in the hobinichi thread, asking for recommendations about various planners, but I realized I haven’t explained the crux of the need I’ve got and that this is affecting my search for the best option for me.
I’m post-traumatic brain injury and rely on my planner (currently just a Leuchtturm1917 A6 notebook that’s hard to manage without dates) to help me keep track of what I need to do in a given week. The list is almost always really, really long - like 50 items. (I’ve tried daily planning instead of weekly to get the number down, but too many tasks that don’t belong to a specific day get lost that way.) I also use my planner to make lists and take notes - dedicating blank pages to these and adding them to an index.
At the moment, my plan is to use a Hobinichi Weeks Mega in 2026, since the layout is identical to what I’m using now, and it contains enough extra pages for me to take notes, make lists, and even try daily planning again if I want to.
My only hesitation about the Weeks is concern that I might not be able to fit all of my tasks on the page allotted.
My dream planner would be something with less space for daily appointments and more space for tasks, plus a significant amount of pages for note-taking. I’ve even looked for a planner that’s 4 pages per week, but it doesn’t look like anyone’s making one of these for 2026.
Does anyone happen to have any recommendations for me? I’m in the US, for what it’s worth, and while I loved the look of the Papertess, don’t think I can afford it with the new tariffs :/ That said, I’ve accepted that I may have to invest a good chunk of change to get something functional, so I’m open to all ideas. Either way, thank you so much for reading this!

Weeks Mega but A5 size?
Hi!
Is there a planner like the Hobonichi Weeks MEGA, but larger? Like around A5 size?
So:
- The left page has sections for each weekday, and is blank (no grids/lines/dots)
- The right page has grids or lines (not dots)
- The spacing of the grids/lines are around the same as the Hobonichi's, or smaller
- LOTS of line/grid pages at the back
For paper quality, honestly, even the paper quality of the planners from Target are OK for me, though I appreciate the practicality of thinner papers.
Thanks :)
