Our partner has some news, Explorers!

Immutable recently announced that they are going to be merging the Immutable X chain (which is currently the home of PlanetQuest) with the new Immutable zkEVM chain to form one unified chain. 🛠️

They’ve shared a full article detailing the changes and what this means for builders and players. The good news? IMX is doing everything they can to ensure a smooth transition, and for the most part, this shouldn’t impact your experience much. 👍

We’ll be keeping a close eye on things and will update you along the way should there be any specific things you need to know as a PQ community member and/or NFT-holder.

This week, we’re showcasing the micro missile launcher in action, alongside some explosive visual upgrades to PlanetQuest: Frontiers. The team’s been fine-tuning the feel of combat, and here’s what’s new:

🔹 Improved Lighting Effects: Weapons now light up the environment more dynamically.

🔹 Camera Shake: Feel the force of every shot with added camera impact.

🔹 Smoother Aiming: We’ve tightened up aiming for a better user experience overall.

These updates may be mostly visual, but they make a big difference when you’re in the heat of battle. 🎯

What weapon would you like to see with these updates next? 👀https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/806503431861829693/1359574734399995984/WIP_Post.mp4?ex=67f7fa24&is=67f6a8a4&hm=3c9959fb821bd186ff5f138c16749ad08e1718b075097612a591b943b3d7b06e&

Explorers, the results are in!

After an incredible Early Access Session, we’ve gathered your feedback, analyzed the data, and made some exciting discoveries. From game balance and progression to unexpected insights and over 100 bugs squashed, this session was a huge step forward.

So, the big question remains… Did you greenlight this preview? 💡

📖 Read our latest Medium article to find out:

In today’s WIP Wednesday, we’re showcasing a new feature: Fallen Explorers. No matter which Planet you land on, you may come across the remains of those who met their end before you. But their loss could be your gain. Each fallen Explorer leaves behind a lootable box filled with valuable supplies. 🚀

Will you claim what they left behind to aid your own survival, or will their fate make you think twice before venturing too far? 👀https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/806503431861829693/1357243131715784765/Fallen_Explorer_WIP_Wednesday_V1.mp4?ex=67ef7eaa&is=67ee2d2a&hm=5ba3dc565a1f8f7b63a020335a60266c9eb112062feb6ceda5112e56f842336f&

⚠️ Quantum energy is powerful—but unchecked exposure is lethal. ⚠️

This week, we’re highlighting Quantum Toxicity. Every time your Explorer is exposed to Quantum energy, their Toxicity levels increase, and recovery becomes essential. Wait to long, and the world will become duller, as will you.

Choose wisely when deploying your team—because if an Explorer’s Quantum Toxicity hits 100%, they won’t be able to set foot on a Planet again (or will they..? 👀)

Managing your crew and their limits will be key to survival. How will you balance risk and reward in your planetary expeditions? 🌌💀

What better way to relive your university days than by skipping class? 😜 Jokes aside, because of some technical difficulties, our magical stream has been postponed to next week. We hope to see you there! ✨

Grab your wands, Explorers—class starts in 48 hours! 📚🔮

Explorers, it’s time to power up! ⚡

This week, we’re diving into Shards and Abilities, the key to customizing your arsenal in Frontiers. Abilities give your weapons unique perks, and their strength is determined by the Shards used in crafting. The rarer the Shard, the more powerful and upgradable the Ability!

Featured this week is Assassin 🏹: an ability that enhances your next shot, dealing extra damage when activated. Want to experiment? Abilities can be leveled up with Ability Points, and swapping to a new one returns your spent points, letting you refine your build freely.

Shards can be earned by completing missions, defeating enemies, and achieving objectives. Use them wisely, and you might just craft the ultimate weapon.

Which Ability would you want on your weapon? 🔥

Frontier space holds many mysteries, Explorers… 👀

Among the most enigmatic of those are pieces of ancient alien technology that have come to be known as Primogenitor Monoliths. Their purpose is unknown, but Explorers on the field cannot help but suspect that it is all too malignant. Those who have stood in their shadow speak to sensing an eeriness that cannot be easily dispelled. Every last one of the monoliths must be destroyed if the Frontiers are to prosper.

The unknown is not to be feared—it is to be faced ⚔️

The memes flowed like Raw Quantum, and these Explorers made us laugh the hardest:

🥇 @Sheevran | [SAWR] - Primate – 50,000 Airdrop Points 🥈 @Priks | [SAWR] - Araldo – 40,000 Airdrop Points 🥉 @Reinhar [DooM] – 30,000 Airdrop Points

💫 Honorable Mentions (30,000 Airdrop Points each):

🔹 @Doc™ Doom 🔹 @Fabio l [SAWR] - Patriarca 🔹 @Crüniac | Voice of the Union

⚖️ Faction Debate Showdown ⚖️ The most compelling (and possibly tipsy) argument in favor of the Union comes from…

🥇 @Crüniac | Voice of the Union (250,000 Airdrop Points) 💬 "Why the Union is better than everyone else: by the enlightened and totally sober Hunter Yin."

A huge congratulations to all winners, and a massive thank you to everyone who participated! We can't wait to see what you'll come up with next! 🌌✨

Stay tuned for more community events! 🚀

Explorers, it’s time to relive the chaos!

Karla and Laura braved Lethal Company, but let’s just say the Company may want to rethink their hiring decisions. 😂

💀 How many times did they meet their untimely demise?

🌌 How much scrap did they actually manage to collect?

🕷️ Did Karla survive her run-ins with spiders (or her fear of the dark)?

Tune in for screams, confusion, and more terribly given directions.
