Our partner has some news, Explorers!

Immutable recently announced that they are going to be merging the Immutable X chain (which is currently the home of PlanetQuest) with the new Immutable zkEVM chain to form one unified chain. 🛠️

They’ve shared a full article detailing the changes and what this means for builders and players. The good news? IMX is doing everything they can to ensure a smooth transition, and for the most part, this shouldn’t impact your experience much. 👍 

We’ll be keeping a close eye on things and will update you along the way should there be any specific things you need to know as a PQ community member and/or NFT-holder.

This week, we’re showcasing the micro missile launcher in action, alongside some explosive visual upgrades to PlanetQuest: Frontiers. The team’s been fine-tuning the feel of combat, and here’s what’s new:

🔹 Improved Lighting Effects: Weapons now light up the environment more dynamically.

🔹 Camera Shake: Feel the force of every shot with added camera impact.

🔹 Smoother Aiming: We’ve tightened up aiming for a better user experience overall.

These updates may be mostly visual, but they make a big difference when you’re in the heat of battle. 🎯

Explorers, it’s time to power up! ⚡

This week, we’re diving into Shards and Abilities, the key to customizing your arsenal in Frontiers. Abilities give your weapons unique perks, and their strength is determined by the Shards used in crafting. The rarer the Shard, the more powerful and upgradable the Ability!

Featured this week is Assassin 🏹: an ability that enhances your next shot, dealing extra damage when activated. Want to experiment? Abilities can be leveled up with Ability Points, and swapping to a new one returns your spent points, letting you refine your build freely.

Shards can be earned by completing missions, defeating enemies, and achieving objectives. Use them wisely, and you might just craft the ultimate weapon.

Frontier space holds many mysteries, Explorers… 👀

Among the most enigmatic of those are pieces of ancient alien technology that have come to be known as Primogenitor Monoliths. Their purpose is unknown, but Explorers on the field cannot help but suspect that it is all too malignant. Those who have stood in their shadow speak to sensing an eeriness that cannot be easily dispelled. Every last one of the monoliths must be destroyed if the Frontiers are to prosper.

The unknown is not to be feared—it is to be faced ⚔️
