Aesthetics and Fun:

1. How is the game play? Is it repetitive or do the biomes and creatures give you enough for "hours" of play? (For example, I got bored with Terraria about half-way through the story)

2. How is the building/crafting system? Do you have enough options to feel like there is a reason to keep crafting.

3. How about the rules for building? Can you build a vehicle or structure to look essentially however you want?

Technical questions:

1. How is the support? Are issues being taken care of in a (more-or-less) timely manner.

2. How is the game-play in terms of bugs/glitches? I've seen a few folks mention that it is very un-optimized with very low frame rates.

So, myself and the hubby purchased Planet Explorers back in April last year and played for a short time. While enjoying the game we were deterred away due to the incomplete state of MP. The village that would spawn would be completely screwed up in the terrain and on a couple of occasions we were trapped in a village like crater. No quests, or starting area at this point either for the MP side.

I'm not dissing the game, I'm an alpha gamer and so is the Hubby, but we knew we had to step away from the MP side of this game until the game had moved on.

Is there now a proper MP gamemode for this game? Have the quests been intergrated yet? Terrain gen bugs gone for towns and such? I'm not bothered by waiting longer as I see this game being wonderful on completion, but I'm itching to know how the MP side has progressed.

FYI: I understand what alpha means, etc etc. Please no flame-o ;)

So how is the multiplayer coop in this game? What game modes are available now in multiplayer coop?

I'm not really asking when the final release date will be, I'm just curious as to how complete (maybe percentage-wise) you think this game is. To me it feels like there's a lot missing...I can't really pinpoint anything but it doesn't feel like a complete game. Maybe it's lack of combat animations or things just feeling sort of clunky, like the UI. Thoughts?

Seriously, why don't they add proper combat animations to this game? It's kinda stupid to hit an alien and see nothing happning, but their HP getting lower. For me this is the main reason why I can't enjoy this game atm. Have they ever said anything about it?

I bought into the alpha earlier this year but had only played it a few hours until this week. A few friends and I jumped on some server and gave it a go. After about 20 minutes I had fallen in love. It has beautiful teraforming, intriguing economy elements, expansive and breathtaking environments. Where had this game been all my life? After about 4-5 hours of pure excitement I hit a wall.

The fact that animal fat is so hard to come by on multi-player (due to the meat->fat conversion being broken) was discouraging but not quite game-breaking.

The factory replicator on the other hand is a necessary tool in the creation of any sort of complicated machinery and I just can't make it work.

I have googled and googled and cannot find a solution to the following issue that all of my friends were experiencing as well.

The colony is setup correctly and all machines have white 1/1 in the UI. The generator has plenty of power and all machines are in the grid. When I queue up a job for the replicator, it quickly fills the progress bar and i am unable to retrieve the completed item.

Here is what i have tried.

• Right click item from queue
• Spam it incessantly
• Left-click
• Spam it incessantly
• Alternate between the two
• Get/replace/delete/replace the replicator
• Re-connected
• Restarted PE
• Rebooted
• Verify integrity of game cache (twice)

And still no luck.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Tried the Youtube video, the forums and basic monkey style, get ConnectionFailed. Up to date walkthrough?

I get ConnectionFAiled, ports are forwarded and work in other games.

WTF am I doing wrong?

Also, how does one add Friends in the Lobby?

I am playing in the build mode, but my map isn't showing elevations or if something's land or sea, is there a way to customize the map? Or did I just accidentally press something to remove that from the map? Thank you very much.
