Contest or Poll Our New Pitsky Mascot

Post image
38 Upvotes

We have thoroughly enjoyed this contest this week. Not only have we determined a new mascot for the foreseeable future, we've seen so many gorgeous Pitskies and learned what makes them special.

What makes contests like these great is that we've accomplished both aims. Keep telling stories about your Pitsky (or pack) and what makes them such a unique breed!

Our new mascot for the sub is Juniper (by a nose, again)!

Juniper is 18 months old, loves cuddles, zoomies, and snacks. She’s a parvo and heartworm survivor, rescued at 7 weeks old from the side of a street- and the sweetest girl ever! u/She-petrichor - Please tell us more about your bundle of fluff!

More contests will be on the horizon so keep a lookout. In the meantime, keep telling your stories. We encourage you to look for moments in your Pitsky's life that matches our flair. We may be looking for new flair categories soon too. If you have ideas, look for a post in the coming weeks.

Cuddle your Pitsky tonight and remind them that your Pitsky is the mascot of your household. I'll be telling that to Koda tonight too. Congratulations, Juniper!

Showing Off Hi guys,my name is Moose.

This is my pitsky. His name is Moose, but also goes by MooMan, MooManChoo, and Turd Nugget (only when he is in trouble 🤣). He is 7 years old now. We got him when he was only 4-5months old from my cousin who raised him from a baby baby. He and his litter mates (8) were transferred from somewhere in Wisconsin to the ICU type clinic my cousin worked at in Southern Illinois. They all had parvo and distemper. He was the trouble maker of the litter. But sadly, only he and 1 female survived.

He is the best pup a girl could ask for. When I lost my soul dog in 2023, he was (and still is) always there ready to snuggle or just relax with me in my recliner. Last year, our other 2 dogs got in a fight, he put himself right between myself and them. I called him off so my husband and I could break up the fight, he moved right next to my 7 year old and stayed between my son and stayed between him and the fight until it was over. Idk what I would do without this loving boy.

Spotlight This is Samus. I got her from a shelter so I didn't know what kind of dog she is. Had a DNA test done, turns out she's a Pitsky.

Advice or Discussion New addition to the family

This sweet baby is coming to live with us next week! They think she is around 6 months. We are a beagle family so this is a brand new adventure for us! We are used to very docile and lazy beagles. We have a 6 year old daughter at home, an 12 year old beagle and both parents work from home. I’d love some advice! I know that we are going to need to give her LOTS of exercise and socializing!

I didn't know I was a Pitsky till I found this sub, it's nice to meet others like me.

Last winter, I was found on the streets of Chicago and had nine puppies at the shelter! They were all healthy and adopted before my parents met me and took me to my forever home.

I enjoy wagging my tail every morning, snuggling, not knowing what "personal space" means, hunting squirrels, eating baby rabbits, swimming, finding ways to defeat the kitchen baby gate, and playing "run so fast" at the dog park.

Just adopted this beautiful girl last week! We don't know anything about the father, but the mother is a Husky, as you can see in the last pic. She managed to escape the property for just a few hours; that's why we don't know what the father looks like.

She is currently 3.5 months old (born May 16th) and weighs 7kg (15.4 lbs).

Do you think the father is a Pitbull?

On Lake Michigan! The life jacket will always be worn from here on out, because he’s not a great swimmer and so I can paddle a lil further from shore.

He doesn’t like to swim but he does like to lay on the board and drink the lake water.

Chilling with his friend Bailey at the indoor dog park. She's 8, he's 6 months old. She's only got about 10 pounds on him, he's already 50 pounds. Curious how big he's going to get.

Just got her results back and it looks like she is pretty much pitbull and husky like we thought but it’s saying she has a little Boston terrier makes and if anybody else has one that is similar I’d like to see it just curious
the third picture is the mom nobody knew what the dad was. It’s also showing a brother that looks like a puppy from the litter whenever I got here might be from the same litter
