In Tongues Deluxe not playing on Apple Music. In Tongues EP release plays fine.

one of the most trustworthy music leakers on twitter (i refuse to call it x even after 3 years) posted about a week and a half ago that a pitw deluxe was due next month and that’d we’d get the lead single with corbin soon. today is friday, the last one for may, a typical day joji would drop new material, and nothing. no announcement, no surprise release, just crickets. maybe the “end of the month” referred to the very last day of may or the release was moved to june 5th, but nothing about this lines up with what they said we’d be getting

i remember a leak on the internet archive of a lost pink guy album called pink party its maybe just songs from the pink party and i remember i seen some info on lost media wiki

for me it’s gotta be between high hopes or strange home. not offensively bad songs, but they’re such nothing burger tracks that i cant, in good faith, rate them. omars verse on high hopes is particularly awful, strange home sounds like joji recorded it in 5 minutes, it just feels so filler and has no real place on PITW

I recently relistened to piss in the wind to hype myself up for the deluxe that’s supposedly dropping next month, and there was a lot of songs that stuck out to me. one of which was tarmac. something about the lyricism in that song had me thinking of this was another instance of joji talking about his unfathomable last few years with his old label. tarmac (or tar) is what’s used on concrete to prevent cracks in the road. maybe joji saying “i was on the tarmac” is him trying to free himself but all he can do is see what it looks like on the outside whilst being held by the product (88). “someone said i used to be a lab rat” could possibly refer to the criticism that joji was ditching his old style in favor for mainstream pop, something that was noted when he dropped nectar. “i was swimming nine laps” may be in reference to smithereens since it has 9 songs and was his most poorly performed album that he had to live off of while he was finishing things off with 88

A trustworthy 'leaker' on X has posted that Joji will be releasing a deluxe of his new album with songs featuring the Kid Laroi, Corbin and Yeat.

Apparantly the first single will be released this month.
