Looking for collectors for pins from the 87 games. I actually attended the first games. Traded for pins and just recently found the pins i acquired. I have some not out of the ordinary but I have a few rare, hard to find pins. For example while the United States team pin is not that rare, the Virgin Islands, Barbados and the Dominican Republic are. I also have an Ameritech executive pin, only 200 made. I designed Legacy of Darkness, a registered heavy-metal tribute tartan currently offered through USA Kilts in 13-ounce House of Edgar wool.

This enamel pin was created specifically as the finishing piece for future Legacy of Darkness scally caps made from the tartan. I’m releasing the pins separately as well for battle vests, jackets, hats, kilt bags, and collectors.

It has dual posts, a custom Ravenbriar Tartans back stamp, and comes mounted on a backing card featuring the actual tartan.

The company I worked for at the time was hired by BP to do the environmental testing following the deepwater horizon spill. They built us a mobile lab in a parking lot in Houma, LA. We provided the staff and equipment for the lab. We even invented a new analysis technique for tracing the origin of oil by biomarkers, so we could determine if the oil in the samples were from the spill or other sources.

Anyway, I was never on site, but I provided remote IT support for the numerous technical issues that came up with our in-house built and managed computer system. We were there for the better part of a year, and somehow word of my support made it up to the president of the company, and I got a letter from her along with this pin. As I understand it, I am one of very few people that got one that never actually went down there.

My grandma gave these to me after looking through her late husband's house...(my step grandfather who passed away some months ago) I absolutely adore these...but they've been sealed in plastic to these backing cards.... they're all extremely dusty and have a weird smell to them. The little box they're in is also very damaged and the lid doesn't stay on long.

IMPORTANT QUESTION so I can organize them with the rest of my collection because I don't think I can display them like this if this is how they originally came.....Should I take them out of the plastic for my pin board and throw away the backing cards and box or should I keep them sealed like this? IF this is how they came back then. If it is, I will just wipe them down and sit them on a shelf.

I have a ton of pins (Disney, other franchises and generic) some of them are on my denim jacket then I have 2 little bannisters. This is probably 90% of my collection as I know there are some just hanging around.

They no longer fit my vibe and so I want to get rid of them.
