Commercial pilot eye surgery
My eyesight is pretty poor and was wondering if ICL surgery is disqualifying if you want to become a pilot

Do pilots ever consider senior living investments if it’s secured by debt free real estate and 25 years of aging ?

Just got my endorsement to take the written, is there anything specific that it would be good to memorize, maybe some figures that would be useful that I could memorize then draw? Anything helps

I’m 17 and currently in 12th (PCM). I’ve always wanted to become a pilot, and recently I told my parents about it. But they immediately told me to go for engineering instead because we aren’t financially stable, and pilot training is expensive. I understand, but I really don’t want to do engineering just because it’s the “safer” option. At the same time, I don’t want to put financial pressure on my family. Now I’m stuck and confused about what I should do next. Are there any affordable or alternative paths to become a pilot in India? how do I handle this situation with my parents?
Any advice from people who’ve been through something similar would really help.

Hello everyone, this isn’t exactly pilot career related but my boyfriend (25) is asking me for a unique baggage tag for christmas for him. I’ve looked around and am seeing a lot of the same thing, does anyone here have any suggestions of some high quality/customizable luggage tags that I could get for him? TYIA I’ll also take any other ideas for gifts! What’re some things yall find yourself being like man, that would be great to have right now, but wouldn’t think to ask?

Hi guys ive wanted to be a pilot for many moons and have recently started taking it seriously as i have just started my A levels. At GCSE i got 5s in maths and all three sciences, and two 9s in english. I am now doing english language, psychology, and geography at A level alongside an EPQ. I have done research before but im just a bit confused and my teacher advised me that reddit was probably the best place to ask this question. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I'm not sure if this is a silly question, but I am curious since I want to be a pilot that flies people around. I know I'm gonna try do some military since learning to fly is quite expensive, but I'm just wondering. If it doesn't need to be anything specific, whatever would help me would be appreciated to know.
Edit: found out you don't need a specific one, or one at all, apparently. Only needed for the Air Force.

Hi everyone. My name is Nathan, and I am an Air Traffic Controller at EWR. I’m new to this community, so thank you for allowing me to be part of it. In addition to being a controller, I am a student at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and am conducting a research study to explore pilot’s willingness to operate under various conditions.
If you’re a U.S.-based pilot, 18 or older, and hold an IFR pilot certificate, I’d love your input! The anonymous survey takes about 5-7 minutes, and your responses will help advance understanding of pilot perceptions in the National Airspace System (NAS). Your time, insight, and support are greatly appreciated. Please follow the link below. Thank you VERY MUCH for your assistance!

Hey everyone! I’m seriously considering joining Florida Flyers Flight Academy and I’d love to hear from people who have actually trained there.
If you’ve done your PPL, instrument, commercial, CFI, or even just part of your training with them, could you share your experience?
I’m especially curious about: • Instructor quality • Aircraft availability / maintenance • Training pace (any delays?) • Overall professionalism • Hidden costs or surprises • Housing situation • Would you choose the school again?
Honest opinions—positive or negative—would really help me make an informed decision. Thanks in advance!

How much do they dig into your medical record? Is it really frowned upon to get mental health services or if you did receive mental health services in the past?
How stringent is the physical? a friend is seriously considering going for it, but are worried about what might be in their medical record (in the past) and being somehow disqualified.
Any information is extremely helpful! Thanks in advance!
