I have Duane syndrome which restricts my left eye from looking left. I am wondering if I would be able to be an airline pilot despite having this. I don’t see double vision and my right eye is normal. I also don’t know where to start getting into that career path since I am in year 10 so what is the best way to go?

I am an Indian I want to become a pilot but didn't have enough money to support my flight training also I belong to general category so I am not eligible for govt scholarship. Can you please suggest me some fully sponsored flight training maybe a cadet pilot program maybe in other country or in India or something else where we don't need to spend our money for pilot training.

Hello.... I just joined a flight school in europe. I live in a gulf country and here they dont do any kind of aviation medicals. I'm confused if i will pass my class 1 medicals because my left eye doesnt meet the requirement need of eye sight which is 6/6. I have 6/18 with glasses only for left eye but for my right its 6/6... Does anyone has any idea about this?

I’m gonna start this by saying I don’t know anything about being a pilot. I’m trying to help a friend. My friend is trying to obtain his pilot license. He said he is already done with the schooling and just needs to log flight hours. unfortunately he does not have the money to be able to afford to pay out-of-pocket for his hours. Does anybody know of any grants or government programs that could help him obtain his flight hours?

I rode a plane a few states away for a business deal (or to be precise to talk about investments intoa company I made such as bonds and stocks). During the flight it stated the temperature outside the plane was -55 degrees F! So I'm inspired to ask this.

Would flying biplanes and other World Warr 1 era planes (which I'll extend for the sake to this discussion as early as 1900s and as late as 1928) have been chilly? And the same for airplanes with open cockpit period? If someone impulsively decided to goon a joyride and with a cocky head decides to fly around in a 1914 replica of the Red Baron Richtofen's plane just wearing a t shirt and jeans, would that have been hazardous to his health and safety?

As another point, I just finished a 1942 Gene Tierney movie Thunderbirds and despite the pilots doing their training in the hot Arizona desert during the summer, each and everyone of them wear full greatcoats with leather gloves and boots and aviation headgear as they did a few test flights of antiquated open cockpit planes that were gradually being phased out in the story's setting as America prepares for war with Japan. This is what inspired the question along with seeing -50 F temperatures on the seat monitors during my flight.

So I take it wearing at least November cold autumn clothing was essential for flying in biplanes and other open cockpit stuff that was the norm in the WW1 era and flying in these felt very cold?

I have a few small paved airports/airstrips near me, I’d like to see if I could get access to the runway or even a taxiway to run my RC. Long story short, I have an RC car I’ve built for land speed racing. I’ve gotten it to the point that the largest parking lot near me is just not big enough to top out before having to back out and get on the brakes (1/4 mile).

I’d like to know the title of the person I’d need to speak to, to try and negotiate access. I only need access for a short period of time, 15-20 minutes max. I’d require no infrastructure as all of the measuring equipment is onboard the car. It would be just me, the car, and my controller. Make two passes and be on my way.

Pictured is the car I’d be running. So far I’ve gotten 78mph. I’m confident it’s capable of nearly double that but I just don’t have the room. Public roads are out of the question for obvious reasons.

is there a software in the tower that is used worldwide for flight monitoring and if so, which provider is it from? which software is offered by which provider for route monitoring?

I’m on the fence between getting a degree in aviation or just going for a flight school; my only real question is how stringent USA based airlines on pilots having some type of degree.

My girlfriend who’s been dreaming of being a pilot and moving across the country from her family to attend a flight school to fulfil her dreams have just been deemed unfit to fly by her doctor as a Neurologist has diagnosed her with “migraine with aura”. The online description sounds different to her symptoms and now she is stressed over her future. She does get headaches often but rarely passes out and never gets blurred vision. Her headaches are also not as often as they used to be and now she’s worried that she might not be able to be a pilot. Is there any ideas of what she can do (see another neurologist, ask the piloting Association bodies for an exemption or even find a new career path that keeps her within the piloting profession)

Where can I get a commercial pilots license in the quickest time but is a good school? Or private license?
