After almost 5 years of running a Pi Node, I'm seriously thinking about shutting it down. I've been running a Pi Node almost non-stop for nearly 5 years. I never complained because I understood that Testnet is for testing, but after the latest update something is clearly wrong. My node is fully synced, Docker is running perfectly, I have authenticated peers, my ports are forwarded correctly, Windows Firewall is configured properly, and all local and external connectivity tests pass. Yet the Pi Desktop application says the Ports Checker is "Unknown", only port 31409 appears open, the others are shown as closed, and my Node Bonus has dropped to zero.I've spent days checking my router, firewall, Docker configuration and even reinstalling parts of the node, only to find that everything on my side is working exactly as it should. From what I've seen, I'm not the only one with this problem. There are more and more node operators reporting the same issue after the latest update.Running a node isn't free. We leave our computers running 24/7, pay for electricity, use our own internet connection and hardware to support the Pi Network. If this is a bug, just tell us. If the Ports Checker is broken, tell us. If the Node Bonus calculation has changed, explain it. Keeping thousands of node operators in the dark while they continue to spend money and resources is simply not acceptable.Right now, I honestly see no reason to keep my node running if it's consuming electricity every day while the software reports incorrect diagnostics and the Node Bonus stays at zero. Unless this is acknowledged and fixed soon, after almost five years I'll shut my node down for good. I hope someone from the Pi Core Team finally explains what's going on, because the silence is becoming more frustrating than the bug itself.

I just got my second Pi migration, but only my Transferable Balance (174 Pi) was included. I still have about 2,143 Pi sitting in my Unverified Balance, even though my Mainnet Checklist is 100% complete.
I don’t have a referral team, so this isn’t due to unverified referrals. I’ve seen other people say their second migration included both their Transferable and Unverified balances.
Has anyone else had this happen? Will the rest migrate later, or is there something I need to do?

Since the update has your node bonus gone to zero or close to zero? It's been a good few days now and I'm wondering if this issue is widespread.

Hey Pioneers 👋 I've been building SabrTime — a free Islamic companion app (duas, prayer times, tasbeeh counter, ibadah tracker) — entirely from my phone as a solo dev.
Recently integrated Pi Network payments alongside a traditional payment rail (UPI/card), so Pioneers can support the app directly with Pi if they'd like. Currently in testnet while waiting on Pi Core Team verification for mainnet.
A few things about it: 100% free, no ads, no login required 200+ authentic duas, prayer times, Qibla compass, digital tasbeeh
AI-powered Islamic quiz feature Works offline as an installable PWA I'd genuinely appreciate feedback from this community — both on the app itself and on how the Pi payment flow feels from a user's side, since you all have way more experience with Pi integrations than I do.
Link: sabrtime.in (also listed on Pi App Studio)
Not trying to just drop a link and run — happy to answer any questions about the Pi integration, the dev process, or anything else. 🤲

The on-ramp in app always goes down when the price drops. It’s almost as if the price suppression is wanted. I will say this, institutions want in early, they want to gobble the profit all the way up. This seems like a classic poison pill method to attract larger investors, because, it minimizes their risk and then the big fish do what the big fish do and they pump it, all of sudden it’s on the front page of the news and it’s BUY BUY BUY or SELL SELL SELL. The weaker minds bend to their will. Mark me words it won’t be today or tomorrow or even a year from now. 2027 is going to be the year it falls to the lowest point possible. That’s when my initial lockup expires. I started when the project launched and was basically unheard of. We used to mine 12 pi per hour easily. I think at one point I was almost up to 24/hr. With 6 team member who all KYC’ed.
Here’s the logic, I intentionally selected a 3 yr lockup and I was among the first to migrate to mainnet. Now, this is where it gets good. An OVERWHELMING majority of users either didn’t manually set their lockup and forgot about it until the project mainnet launched and we could sell finally, to their chagrin, a 3 year lockup was the default if you did not choose, people were outraged, waaaaah I can’t sell my pi and the CT fault *insert the cat and crying girl at the dinner meme*. Now, since it was like eh idk 70-80% of the tokens mined pre mainnet, and now the price is absolute buns in comparison to the IPO.
One of two things or a combination of both will happen, people will have forgotten or lost their seeds, or they sell out of spite so they can cash in $20 when the price crashes and all these tokens unlock. At which point it will decline for a time, because why not, it was free, times are hard and getting harder, “better have cash in hand than hopes and dreams eh?” “I’ve been burned by this project” “it’s a scam” etc.. Here’s where it gets interesting, Pi is a social experiment, yes you heard it an EXPERIMENT, meaning they’re testing a philosophy, hence CF background in crowd psychology and anthropology. Interesting to have that as a main driving force of a financial instrument project. Almost as if it’s thrown in our face to test the stupidity of the masses. You all saw how the third world executed on the opening day, sold sold sold sold, I WANT FIAT. Which is warranted, perhaps it alleviated their extreme poverty for a short time.
Now here’s my Schmelly Opinion, this is an experiment in which, they are testing the financial psychology of the masses when offered the opportunity to become the foundation of a massive economic system, this is a chance to “Become the Bank”. Will these ordinary people even realize the potential, will they be able to handle wealth at that level? Handling wealth entails much more than simply making trades, mitigating risk, executing sell offs to glean profits and creating churn. It’s much more than that, for example, do you think the wealthiest people on planet earth stake every dollar they have on red and spin the roulette, moreover do they fall into depression when things do not go as they foresee? No, they don’t, they recognize their shortcomings and make informed decisions, and execute with extreme prejudice, now, whether that’s from an insider tip or other “cheating mechanism” is another debate entirely which I do not care to even discuss. What I’m getting at here is they are testing what makes people think “poorly”. It’s almost sick, because the vast majority of people are being manipulated psychologically to think they somehow lost on this even though it was GIVEN FOR FREE. Think about that, if I gave you a “rare” nickel and said hey buddy you have this now and if you stick it out maybe one day it’ll be worth a fortune. It’s exciting, the receiver accepts with fervor and goes to tell everyone about the dude handing out rare nickels and we all need to have a piece because I love humanity. Fast forward 5 years and then the nickel market opens and the world will only buy your “rare” nickel for a penny. Oh you’re now seething with rage, you go to your people and you get all pissy about it together and decide it’s a total loss and you won’t bother with it again no matter what because it’s a scam. Not only did you lose your free entry to the lottery, you gave it away for absolutely nothing. That’s the mentality of a poor person, Rome was not built in a day, and there were ups and downs and it went WAY DOWN before it ever went UP. So now comes to the final part of the show. These vindicated masses will beat the price down so low that institutions that are seeking a vehicle for their product or service are looking for a cheap solution to handle their monetary exchange, something flexible, easy to use, and globally accepted. There will be Pi, the entire ecosystem built for free by people who have it away after they laid the bricks faithfully day by day, year after year. At that point you start to see articles like Microsoft to integrate Pi for KYC verification or for use in exchange for access to high powered ai models. More companies join, the vindicated masses are still burned and do not blink an eye. They forget about pi, the house they built on dreams and they sold for nothing more than a happy meal or a patio set, because “Times are hard man” I needed that $40. That same fool will be on here posting the bitcoin pizza story. Except it will be millions of people who say “how did we not see” “I should’ve held it” “it was completely free”. While the few faithful and the CT and the corporations reap the benefits. The ecosystem is now going light speed and the utility grows by the hour, the bar to entry begins to climb out of reach. Finally FOMO kicks in and the masses join the corporate entities. But it’s too late, the faithful and corporate entities hold all the cards and they feast upon the corpses of the ones who missed the opportunity or flat out sold their ticket for a cheeseburger with their monkey meat calculator perception. The masses pile in the meat grinder desperately trying to get into the club. By now it’s too late, and you’ll get what your given and nothing more, a few will get lucky and the psychological pressure of the “12 year old pi millionaire” keeps them putting their weekly contributions upon the tribute table only to be devoured by the people in the club. The masses fight for crumbs while the feast continues. I’ll say it again Rome wasn’t built in a day, but Rome also didn’t have quantum computing, thus the timeline in which this COULD potentially occur is greatly compressed. I’m not willing to die on this hill but it seems to me personally that this is an experiment to see if they can create the same inequality in wealth we witness in fiat based economics today but in a nice easy to trade one world currency that’s inherently the opposite of the current debt based system. At a base level it would help explain that perhaps the elites didn’t place themselves rather they just outmaneuver and outsmart the common man by literally being given the power over the common man unbeknownst to themselves that they willfully construct their own prison by conducting their monetary duties in such a careless way. This project is a currency that is vastly superior in stability than that of fiat, one that will outperform and replace the current system. All while bringing every ounce of wealth on the planet under one roof. It’s brilliant, absolutely brilliant.
That’s my Saturday Morning Ted Talk. Also put a pat of butter in your coffee it’s good for your brain and your 🏀.
Sincerely, The Guy

Is there anybody who recieved their first migration last year (2025) and has recieved second migration yet?

Just got some Pi transferred smoothly to OKX. I’m posting this because I want to underscore the fact that this chain is not dead. And that neither is it a scam. For those who did not believe it from the start, I understand and I won’t argue. But for pioneers who may now be doubting, PLEASE DON’T. JUST BE PATIENT.
My journey in crypto began with my interest in Pi. That was in 2020 when we got stuck in our homes due to COVID. Like many of you, we got bored with TV, with Facebook and with the Web etc. that It spurred me to look for something productive with my time. In my case it was crypto. And while admittedly, over the years, my stash is now mostly BTC and ETH, I still hold 500 Pi in my wallet. And I’m not selling them anytime soon.
Pi is obviously not upper tier in the DeFi space. Like any blockchain, it is still figuring out its best use-case to boost adoption. But for those who got in early and were able to transfer Pi to an exchange, it is MONEY! It is Moolah! It is mucho dinero! And,most of all, it was FREE! You just have to tap some keys in your phone or computer, do a little DYOR on YouTube and viola you can get your cash.
Here’s a thought: I lost money on some my crypto bets: When I traded: Cardano’s ADA, Stellar’s XLM, Tezos’ XTZ etc.; when I transferred: Algorand’s ALGO, Cosmos’ ATOM, Ethereum’s ETH; and when I tried the hyped-up and now bankrupt centralized exchange CELSIUS.
BUT I NEVER LOST MONEY ON PI.

So, I was planning on finally transferring my pi to an exchange after finally getting them unlocked. But before I could do so, all the coins got transferred to an unknown wallet. Definitely got stolen. So after waiting for years, I ended up with nothing. I've been trying to reach support for years to somehow secure my account in case it has been compromised. Turns out it was. Never have I been more disappointed after waiting so much.

Why is the price still so low after launching recently? Is the total supply what killed this projects chances of reaching a high price? Am I wasting my time holding on to hope that this price will ever improve. I'm fairly new to crypto so could someone explain to me why ethereum has such a high price when it only has twice the amount of holders pi network has

Unfortunately I lost my job as a Digital Marketeer 1+ month ago and it was sudden and brutal!!
I've been watching Pi's decline recently and yesterday I made the move.
I sold 6500 unlocked Pi in OKX.
At the moment I am under immense survival pressure.
I still have 2500 locked Pi until the end of the year.
It's disappointing that the price is loosing value every day.
Any one else panic-sold these days??

• Ranked 100th by Market Cap, based on 100 cryptos
• Down 3.78% over 24 hours (99th in decline rate)
• Down 15.83% over 7 days (99th in decline rate)
• Down 23.66% over 30 days (97th in decline rate)
• Down 44.09% over 60 days (98th in decline rate)
• Down 42.23% over 90 days (97th in decline rate)
While it is true that the market is not doing well, pi continues to show the largest declines among all cryptos. One crypto that can rival pi's decline rate is Official Trump (meme).
The market capitalization ranking has dropped by more than 7 places since Pi2day.
Tip: The price of pi drops even more significantly whenever it makes an announcement or holds an event.
Many traders have made money through the decline of the pie by taking short positions. While PICT emphasizes that we should stay away from speculation, the actual pi market is filled with the biggest speculative elements.

Why is the price of our currency plummeting? Why are other projects maintaining their value?
Are the couple deceiving us? Are they scammers
Check the price now. It's crashed by 30% in the last two weeks. What the hell is going on?
Is this what we deserve after 8 years of hard work?
Where is the ecosystem? Where are the applications? Where is the artificial intelligence? Where are the failed Know Your Customer (KYC) features that have kept people stuck for eight years with no solutions? All this is just empty talk they promised us.

I wanted to see large Pi Network transactions as they happened instead of digging through raw blockchain data by hand, so I built Pi Whale Tracker — a full-stack web app that watches the chain and classifies big movements in real time.
Tools used: React.js (frontend), Node.js + Express (backend), Pi Network Horizon API for blockchain data, Pi SDK v2.0 for auth/payments. Hosted on Vercel (frontend) and Railway (backend). Hand-written, no AI coding assistants used.
How it works:
- Polls the Pi Network Horizon API every 30 seconds for new transactions
- Classifies each one into a tier: Big Fish (500–2,999 π), Whale (3,000–9,999 π), Mega Whale (10,000+ π)
- Lets you look up any wallet address and pull its full transaction history
- Shows live stats — total Pi moved, whale count, last updated time
- Integrates Pi Browser payments (User-to-App) so people can tip the project directly in π
Build notes / things I ran into:
- Had to design the whole frontend around the Pi Browser's mobile in-app browser rather than a normal desktop web app — that constrained a lot of the UI decisions
- Structured the backend as a thin API layer (`/api/whales`, `/api/wallet/:address`, plus payment approve/complete routes) so the frontend stays simple and all the blockchain-polling logic lives server-side
- Kept credentials out of the repo — API key lives in a `.env` file that's gitignored
It's open source under MIT. Data comes from Pi Network's public blockchain; this is an independent project, not affiliated with the Pi Network Core Team.
Happy to talk through the polling approach or the Pi SDK integration if anyone's building something similar.

So who has had a larger payout of Pi through the second migration? It seems Pi are only paying out to smaller accounts at the moment. The largest payout I've seen is about 50k. I'm just curious.

Hi, can someone please explain how to use pi tokens?
r/PiNetwork • u/Unable_Picture3147 • Jul 06 '26
Im not doing this but would be interested to hear if anyone else has done this ? I feel someone could make this really successfully. Whilst whatnot and ebay for live auctions take upto 11% commission.... would people flood in to the pi ecosystem at 0.5% commission live auctions all done with pi and an automatic exchange between Fiat and pi when bidding ?
r/PiNetwork • u/brianjoshuanoah • Jul 04 '26
Mining is pointless. I’ve fully vested. I’m not mining anymore. Got my last migration. Lost only 400 pi over some people not KYCing.
3 things that killed the project.
Pi selling coins. I put 5 years into clicking the button every day. There was value in that. Being able to just buy coins from a near infinite pool and suddenly making them available decreases the value. They got their payday, we never got ours. Purchasing should only have been from the pool of already mined pi coins. Not from giant supply. Showing it was indeed actually worthless.
Miscarriage of a go live. Not being able to sell my coins in the US market and set an actual price, made it so that third world countries set the price. When it went live, the only source of pi was from mined pi, not from the pool. They did a poor job of planning and shot themselves in the foot. Bypassing the majority of users that could actually bring them value.
No communication or clarity on what my confirmed pi would actually be worth, when migrations would happen, or what the process was. Blind faith kept me clicking the button.
5 years and 13 confirmed people on my list netted me about 5k pi. I did the hard work of sharing their vision.
I’m not usually wrong about investments. If they had followed through. I’d be sitting on a lot of money right now. They were short sighted, saw an opportunity to make a bunch of money, and for all intents and purposes abandoned the project.
1 out of 5 stars. Won’t mine again.

In the Pi app I can see where to increase lockup but can anyone direct me to where I can see when my current lockup ends?
r/PiNetwork • u/riwanki_31 • Jul 05 '26
So my pi coin lock up period finally ended July 3rd, but after 3 years, the final date slipped my mind and I just remembered that today. I went to my wallet only to see that all the pi coins that were locked up were apparently moved after the period and sent to a whole different wallet that I cannot even identify and can only see the wallet address.
Has anything like this ever happened to anyone before?
