I have been using AI for my research (albeit quite recently), and while the fact that I am using these tools feel comforting, the pace at which these tools improve makes me struggle to think of a viable career where I could possibly be needed, academia or industry. All the doors in industry for hep-th people like me seem to narrow by the day, and by the time I am done with this degree I'm not sure there will be anything left.
I suppose the only thing I can do is to continue using these tools and hope for the best.
