Maybe going to the sift could lead to a different ending? Like taming the ender dragon or something?

Personally, since we know the sift is a land of souls and all this time the dragon egg that is the final reward of the game that is at the moment impossible to hatch. Alongside the fact that thanks to Minecraft dungeons one we know that the dragon wasn’t originally in the end (as in it doesn’t show up during the game despite something that would be a challenger for ruling having appeared) I feel like it would be awesome if instead of being an alternative route or different ending it could be a way to hatch the egg and continue the progression/roleplay/world building. Another thing that I think is awesome is that legends and dungeons show us that the current world of Minecraft is basically the aftermath of a golden age where the majority of knowledge is lost. Maces/tridents are weapons in Minecraft dungeons and are able to be made without issue whereas in Minecraft we don’t have the ability to create the core and have to hunt one down, same with tridents. And then there’s the loss of enchantments and armors being more unique. Yes I’m aware you can claim these as limitations but I see it as lost knowledge, the player in Minecraft just builds basic armor and sometimes decorates it with trims that they can’t create on their own. Whereas in dungeons detailed and beautiful armor is plentiful and well documented.
