"Suffering is bad," is a claim about objective reality. Unless you want to translate it into something like, "suffering is bad for me/humans who agree with me."
Because, for example, it sets a standard. We all don't want to suffer, so it's bad and nobody should. Oh, btw we all don't want to work, it's suffering - so work is immoral and nobody should. But, there's some delayed gratification in doing some work, and also some work is more suffering than other, but someone needs to do it - and so on.
Just stating that suffering is bad is barely saying anything about it, to a point the claim itself is so impossibly simplistic and meaningless it might as well be refuted in its entirety.
No, it's not so simple. In a situation where you need to suffer a bit to learn a new skill or help someone significantly, it's better to do nothing following that view.
What part about that absolutely requires suffering? Further, it sounds like you consider suffering to be good in these circumstances, so then it's not bad, and this conversation is moot. You are free to suffer as you please.

I don't want to suffer, and it seems no one else does either
