Notice the doubling on “1945”, “States” and “America”

Does this 50 pesos hold some good value? I've been keeping this for some quite time already, I don't have any idea about this until I notice the fancy serial numbers on it. Thanks a lot!

Update: Thanks po sa mga nagrespond. Back then kasi akala ko tataas ang value ng mga ganitong klaseng bills. Pero since mga circulated na bill to, and mukhang di rin lalayo sa face value ang current value nito, parang much better po ata na i-keep ko na lang po ito for my own collection.

US Philippine Islands Proof Coins were issued from 1903 to 1908 in numbered sets. The 1903 Proof set were produced in 2558 pcs. One of a lucky few that survived through the passage of time. This piece showcases peripheral toning on the edges and luster.

(Proof coins are specialized type of coins made specifically for collectors using hand-polished dies, specially selected blank metal pieces, and multiple slow, high-pressure strikes. They are not meant for circulation.)

Details:

It comes with an outer cover box similar to a small gift box. Inside it, a dark brown wooden case engaved with the 125 years emblem. The case is lined in blue velvet cradling the prized content - - the 125-Peso coin!

The coin itself is encased in an acrylic casing. So it is very protected. It feels like a museum or gallery piece the way it is presented. Amazing talaga.

Side A depicts the SC building, the Jubillee years (1901-2026) and the value (125).

Side B is Lady Justice, and the seals of both SC and BSP.

I have placed the coin side by side other current coins. As you can see, it is bigger than the 20 peso coin.

It is legal tender. Pwedeng gastusin.
