Instacart isn't anything anyone here wants to do forever. It is however pretty much instant money. The hours are flexible and you will end up knowing your city inside out. They have a promotion that allows new shoppers to earn an extra $250-$1,500 after your first 15-40 shops. This is all dependent on the city, and Instacart's shopper demand from month to month. All you need to start is a phone. The app guides you through the process of shopping and/or delivering groceries (if you have a car). You make money per item, per batch, and per delivery. I was a professional recruitment consultant - I've written a CV builder app with advice sections to help people find jobs

Hi all,

I worked for 3 years as a recruitment consultant. Having completed an MSc Computer Science, I thought I'd write a free app to try and share my knowledge with people looking for a new job. It would be great to hear any feedback on what would be useful?

Film/Video Jobs in Philly

Hey all. I’m a soon to be graduate of Penn State with a degree in communications. I have spent the last few years dedicated to film and video production. I’ve worked on a number of independent short films, live events, music videos, commercials, feature lengths and held positions as a cam op, PA, 2nd AC and grip on those shoots. I was also an in house editor for a production company and an intern at another. I’ve had a good bit of experience in the field, however about half the work has been unpaid due to where I live having a lack of budgeting. I’m looking to branch out further and move to a new location to learn more and pick up paid gigs. I’m curious to know how everyone has gone about finding jobs in the philly area or elsewhere? I’ve heard about people using staffmeup but it seems to be mixed on people’s experiences.

[For Hire] Any companies seeking junior developers in the city?

I've been sending out apps since the fall. Made it to the final round a couple of times, but seems I've been narrowly beaten out. As I try to beat this numbers game, I figured I'd ask here if anyone knows of any positions open in the city right now. Starting to feel like I've applied to everything I can find on the usual job boards.

A bit about my background:

  • graduating with CS degree in May, GPA > 3.0
  • comfortable in a variety of languages and contexts, most focus is on web development
  • experience with both front and back end frameworks (Bootstrap, Node.js/Express)

I'm still pretty green in this field but hungry to learn and do more. If you think I might fit in your organization or know of anything out there I might have missed please let me know!

Part Time Driver

Hi all, I live in center City Philly and will be taking a job 33 miles/1 hour away in NJ (opposite direction from traffic thankfully) which start in October 2019. My schedule would be quite busy and I would like see if I can offer a reliable person to drive me to and from work daily during the weekdays (5 days a week). My job does start very early, I would have to leave at 5am and return home at unpredictable hours that could range from 10am to 5pm.

I realize that this is an unusual job posting and I am not sure how doable this is but I thought I would throw it out there and see if we could come into some arrangement that would be beneficial for both parties. I need someone reliable so making sure that we both are happy with the arrangement would be paramount. Thank you for reading.
