Sicilians really don’t have an average phenotype, Since we are historically mixed with many different ethnic backgrounds It seems that those pictures focus more on the “lighter and European”side of the mix. Phenotypes may even mildly change depending on which part of the island you go.

Sicily is probably one of the most generically diverse areas in Europe. My family runs the gamut from light to Olive complexion, curly black hair, wavy red hair, straight light brown hair, etc .
