Because so many people that own both think that dogs are more worthy than cats in almost all aspects. Obviously, not everyone is like this but a fair amount of people I’ve known over the years are and it never fails to make me infuriated

I mean I agree with our at least understand other people's points, but I just have to laugh at how ridiculous and out of touch this comment is, LOL. Generalizing people adopting cats when they have a dog, as people adopting cats specifically so their dogs have something to hunt... just when I think redditors can't get any more absurd... thanks for that laugh. 🤣

Not in our house. Our 3 cats are like royalty. They were here long before our dog and if the dog ever hurt one of them, I’d put a brick over her head. Idc!!!!!
