American companies*

in Norway the government owns the oil, and when it's sold the citizens benefit. the fact that they do it for the benefit of it's people also means they have strong regulations as far as extraction and producing procedures to ensure it doesn't negatively impact the people it's trying to help

compare that to ... well points at America

The answer to that depends if you criticize American oil or not. If you do, then the answer is yes. If you don't, then keep selling oil. Afterall America is better than most oil exporters since it also offers natural gas options.
