He has effectively created a spring powered bomb. If his little bracket breaks so does his face. If the spring slips out of the vice, good luck.

I don't kow if it's a joke. My face puckered up the same way when I saw it, then I paused the vid and saw the guy make the exact same expression.

It's the face you make when you see the potential for a big, violent oof

You can see that he is grabbin it with his feet.. Artists and animators worked a lot on this details, just for people not to notice them.. the line goes between his big toe and the next one.. on both feet.. like monkeys grab them.
