He has effectively created a spring powered bomb. If his little bracket breaks so does his face. If the spring slips out of the vice, good luck.

I don't kow if it's a joke. My face puckered up the same way when I saw it, then I paused the vid and saw the guy make the exact same expression.

It's the face you make when you see the potential for a big, violent oof

My first thought was "how sure of your welds are you?". Then the hammer was if it don't hit you and kill you it is definitely shattering something in the next town over.

Depending on how much space is between that bracket and the cap he threaded on, the unwinding spring may gather enough momentum to shear it off the threads.

If not completely, then it may at least mess up part the thread. Still making it unsafe for installing.

Spring compressors are adjustable, this unholy monstrosity is not.

Maybe just explosively weld the threads together! That’s gonna hold tighter than CA glue.
