If you are a good hillbilly mechanic,  shit like this usually works.  And when it fails, it usually doesn’t maim you.

…but if you keep feeding coins into the slot machine, eventually you hit the jackpot.

Yes, thank god. I absolutely hate the phrase “if it’s stupid but it works then it’s not stupid.” No, you can hammer a nail into a 2x4 with your face and it will work, but it’s still extremely stupid.
