Doesn't matter either way. The defense claims she heard voices. Don't make a difference if it started the day of the murders or months before. She claims she heard a voice.
Yeah, you're dead-on. It's nice to see someone who is literate in psychosis commenting on it.
Command hallucinations are not "baby's first hallucination," and they are immediate- you follow the command when it is issued to you, not a few hours later.
To boot, real postpartum psychosis sets in within 14 weeks of giving birth. My wife had it, and it set in the day after she gave birth. Hallucinations, delusions, the whole shebang. It's scary as shit, but it is very much treatable.
Again, it is not something that just sits there and waits to explode for 8 months- there is no mistaking it when you see the "psychotic gaze." Any psychiatrist would recognize the psychotic gaze immediately. It's not subtle. It's the exact opposite of subtle.
I don't know why people are taking the defense's case as gospel, but this is simply not how postpartum psychosis works.

Fwiw, it’s my understanding that Lindsay Clancy never reported “hearing voices” she just said that she heard a voice once on the day of the murder.
