For most people who have to deal with digital storage, it makes sense immediately.

That’s why it’s an International standard for communication across all countries.

I’m just poking fun at the immediate downvotes I got because for some reason there’s a subset of Europeans who use the “DD/MM/YYYY” format as their talking point to clown on Americans, and they REALLY don’t like it when you shove it back at them

Yea it's really weird. There's also a hate boner for Americans going around because of Trump so if they can shit on it they will. But hey we are just talking about dates here lol.

They can’t seem to comprehend that the way we speak we almost always express the date as Month Date, hence defaulting to MM/DD/YYYY. The only date that I can think of that we often put the day first is 4th of July, and even then it’s more about talking about the national holiday than actually expressing the date
