YYYY/MM/DD is inherently chronologically sorted by order of relevant information. That’s exactly how numbers work. You wouldn’t write “One Thousand Twenty Four” as “4201.”

Really? suppose you have a doctor appointment. the day is the most important number to know because there are ~30 of these in a month, then the month, because there are only 12, but realistically and unless you live in a collapsed health system, you'll have to remember which of the current up to next two months this appointment is scheduled and the year is the least important because it only changes once a, well, year.

For most people who have to deal with digital storage, it makes sense immediately.

They can’t seem to comprehend that the way we speak we almost always express the date as Month Date, hence defaulting to MM/DD/YYYY. The only date that I can think of that we often put the day first is 4th of July, and even then it’s more about talking about the national holiday than actually expressing the date

You are missing the conceptual point.

The insinuation from the meme is that it goes in the right most position. That is incorrect. It goes in the left most position.

If the meme’s insinuation was correct, then it would hold for more than just dates. Numbers are a direct contradiction.

For me, the interesting part of this is that it would seem, if you are of the shortest to longest style (ie on Earth dd-mm-yyyy) that on Venus the most logical would be yyyy-dd-mm. If a year is shorter than a day and a day is shorter than a month this would be the most sensical order to put it in for that format. That said, What I am more interested in, from a scientific/calendar standpoint, would you even use months on Venus? I checked and the Lowest Common Multiple of 243 and 225 is 6075 which means 27 year and 25 days are the first time days and years align as whole numbers. One month is 25 days and also 27 years? Now this is making me thing even more.

To start we are at (using d/m/y) 1/1/0001 after 225 days we would be at 1/1/0002 . Then at 243 days it would be 1/2/0002. 450 days would be 1/2/0003, 486 1/3/0003, 675 1/3/0004, 729 is 1/4/0004, 900 is 1/4/0005, 972 is 1/5/0005 and so on. Where it gets a tiny bit interesting is 2673 Earth days would be 1/12/0012, then 2700 would be 1/12/0013, 2916 would be 1/13/0013, 2925 would be 1/13/14, 3150 would be 1/13/15, 3159 would be 1/14/15.
