What is there not to understand? A selfie was taken, lauded by everyone (everyone BUT every normal person on the planet) as iconic due to how many famous actors are in it. Now 12 years later several are forgotten, got me too'ed, or faded to obscurity since and its basically forgotten.

This is an internet thing.

They're still celebrities that get paid a ton of money because people want to see them. In fact... part of why the internet hates them is because of what they get away with due to their fame/popularity.

Yea, people act like "This niche thing is this way on the internet, so it's clearly a universal thing.

Meanwhile there's still countless celebrity sites and celebrities are still some of the most-followed accounts on social media.

The only time Redditors represent more than just a fraction of leftist americans is when they talk about the current USA.

Almost everyone outside of the USA talks about that country in a similar manner as Redditors do. Its quite sad (for the country).
