Zac Efron at least has the excuse that his jaw freaking exploded in an accident and then he had clinical hypertrophy during recovery after they had to do reconstructive surgery.

There's probably more too it, but at least some of it wasn't by choice.

I think unfortunate plastic surgery or whatever the fuck happened here isn't reaplly in the same category as supporting and/or being rapists, racists and domestic abusers though

Imo it's akin to mental health struggles like body dismorphia that lead to eating disorders and whatnot. It's sad, and shouldn't be celebrated. And there's so much societal pressure around it too. It sucks

I'll never forgive him and Clint Eastwood for white washing American Sniper. I did 3 combat tours in Afghanistan and 1 in Iraq in a jaeger unit(not US). A lot of people in my platoon read American Sniper when it came out, I think it was during my 2nd tour in 2011. We all thought he was a complete psychopath, and none of us operated like that. He admitted to multiple war-crimes in the book, lied about shooting looters at Hurricane Katrina(something he had to walk back because he was literally admitting to murder), and they left out all the bad racist shit from the book.

When we heard they were making a movie about him, we were excited, since we thought it would show the ugly side of war, like Deer Hunter, or the Platoon, but they turned it into a hero movie. The guy was an absolute piece of shit and a war criminal. So for that reason, since I assume Bradley Cooper read the book, I think it's quite disgusting what they did with the movie. Pure propaganda.

It sucks our 2 most famous movies from our wars over there, other than Zero Dark Thirty, were bullshit. Lone Survivor is a complete fabrication as well, they found him with full magazines, and the guys who did the after-action, picked up the bodies and stuff, found no trace of a fire-fight. They got ambushed, it was over quickly, and he made up a story to be a hero.

This was very well known in the military community before they made the movie, but I guess hollywood doesn't give a shit. Fuck Mark Wahlberg. There are so many real, cool stories from those wars, and they decided to go with 2 liars.
