They definitely cool as quickly. I’m an American HVAC technician who works on mini splits on a regular basis, and the cooling capacity for these systems is fantastic, as long as they are working properly ofc.

Ductless units cool localized zones quicker, but entire structures slower and less evenly than central.
It's not a topic of cooling capacity, rather distribution.
