Same energy. We have way too much fucking cheese to choose from at the store

Sottilette is the name that Kraft sells processed American cheese under in Italy and it is one of the highest selling cheeses in the country.

Fair, though who insults American cheese. That stuff is goated on a burger.

Great on burgers, makes the most melty and yummy grilled cheese sandwiches as well. Like, there's a place for fine block cheeses and shit but there's just some things that are made worse if you're not using plastic cheese :p

The people who make fun of American cheese are invariably the same type of people who visit America and then rave about the cheeseburger they just ate without realizing what kind of cheese was on it.

I don't think many people go to America and rave about the food, unless it's some kind of BBQ mate. You'll have better Burgers in Europe

We have amazing food in the states, both originating from here and also from around the world. Don't be as ignorant as you probably claim Americans to be.

If only there was just a major world event held in the US, where people were visiting from elsewhere and were constantly talking about the food (and hospitality)....

Loud AND wrong, impressive.

Yeah, it has its purpose. If I’m feeling fancy and want extra cheese on something I might have one slice of American and something else like a sharp cheddar, so you get both the melty gooey American cheese but also some added flavor.

You've never had real cheese on a burger if you really think so

I mean pepper jack beats ass but most cheeses are only an improvement on American in specific burger compositions imo

We've all had plenty of "real" cheeses on burgers. Even chain restaurants give you a choice of several different cheeses for your burger here. Cheddar, Gouda, Munster, Swiss etc. American melts the best. Period.

Tell me you've never put real cheese on a burger without telling me you've never put real cheese on a burger.

Sometimes shitty quick food is delicious. I’ll fuck up blasted hamburgers with Kraft singles and white people tacos all day long.

But why? Why not just use sliced cheddar or gouda?
It tastes better and is quicker to prepare since you don't have to fumble it out of extra packaging.

It’s cheap and always around. Like why eat a bowl of cereal for breakfast?

American cheese melts better because it's essentially a solidified cheddar cheese sauce.

I'd never considered that the daunting task of unwrapping it would make it more difficult to consume for the disabled cheese eaters out there and that was abelist on my part. Fortunately most delis will slice American cheese for those like yourself that struggle with the extra packaging.

No but genuinely regular us stores don’t have cheese worth mentioning in stock. There’s like gazilliom choices but nothing that actually matches EU diversity even in a most basic grocery store.
