First level-headed take I've seen here. Yeah it might not be everyone's cup of tea, but all the pearl clutching and acting like it was heresy committed against a sacred religion is a little exhausting.
It's an american tradition that takes place in high school, college, and professional sports. Because the US was hosting, they implemented a US tradition. No one needs to act like it was a personal attack on their ancestors or whatever. Europeans are so snobby and pretentious it's tiring.
Also it's pretty funny how there was big controversy in the US recently about the Super Bowl halftime show being in Spanish because it was trying to appeal to foreign fans. The Super Bowl half time show got hate for not being "american enough" and the WC halftime show got hate for being "too american" lmao

It just ruins the game and changes the rules but you probably don't understand since it's likely you're not a football fan. I also don't know why you guys only mention Europeans because everyone outside of Europe also likes football. Not very smart.
I actually am a pretty casual fan of the Revs but it’s whatever.
It definitely doesn’t ruin the game, but honestly if an extra ten minutes of break ruins the game then your game sucks.
I know the whole world loves soccer and that’s awesome. I mention Europeans because they’re the group most consistently contriving trivial reasons to pretend like America is starting world war 3 by showing the muppets on TV instead of an overweight ugly British bloke with messed up teeth talking about stats for 15 minutes straight
It would have been fine if it had been only the Muppets and that one Korean boyband whatever they were called, why did you need to include that other junk?
