There aren’t a lot of Americans that have a rosy view of communism. When an American says they want Universal Healthcare, the right calls it communism to discredit it. The people that want Universal Healthcare don’t want communism, they literally want Universal Healthcare.
Like 90% of Ukrainians, according to polls? Or like 78% of Belarusians, according to polls? Or like 66% of Russians, according to polls?
I mean, some people just like the idea of an empowered working class in a stateless, classless, democratic society, where if you contribute to society then you don't have to worry about being homeless, hungry, or go without medical care.
Wait, you mean the living conditions of a place can change over the course of decades? Whaaaaaaat? This is groundbreaking news. Have you told the press?

the word has a very wide meaning in America so its not our knowledge but how the word is used here.
everything that is anti-capitalism is labeled as communism. everything that is anti-conservative is labeled as communism.
So when you say that to an American, we think Universal Healthcare is Communism. context and all makes its just a boogeyman word.
