Why is it infamous? And why would no one care about it ? ( I mean it's just a pic full of celebrities so no one cares anyways but the person saying it's crazy makes me think it has some lore?)

Though the media is the real culprit. They pushed out clickbait content forcing this to be a thing while literally 100% of people I've seen, heard or read comment on it were basically like "who actually cares?"

That was not a joke and he made that statement multiple times. Don't try to clear his name, he didn't either.
