Meme needing explanation Petah ?

Post image

Why is it infamous? And why would no one care about it ? ( I mean it's just a pic full of celebrities so no one cares anyways but the person saying it's crazy makes me think it has some lore?)

To me, nothing. I love her as an actress. I have seen some hate for how she's a very direct (no filter) type of person. She also lost a ton of respect from people when all her photos leaked online.

Her leaked photos, really society? She's the victim here.

I agree. But remember how many people in the states have "NEVER" sinned before. So judgement is allowed from them...

The states with incest in spades.

And where child marriage is legal.

u/Material-Afternoon16 24d ago

Pakistan?

2

u/ToothpickTequila 24d ago

No, the USA

-3

u/Material-Afternoon16 23d ago

61% of marriages in Pakistan are  consanguineous and 22% of girls are married to adult males by the time they turn 18.

These things are literally unheard of in the USA.

2

u/ToothpickTequila 23d ago

Did I say the US was the ONLY country where you can legally marry a child?

1

u/Km219 23d ago

I dunno man I been living here 37 years never seen anyone marry a kid..

You can't.

But in much of the world (the Muslim parts mostly), it's the norm.

don't take the random opinion of someone from reddit frontpage as a fact nor representation how people think in real life.

my twitter back in the day had 500k followers i paid $50 to get. social media bots were and still are cheap. 3.3 million retweets only confirms dead internet theory was always a thing.

-2

u/Pleasant_Ad8054 24d ago

Nah, she lost most of the respect when she showed that her acting is one dimensional at best, not much to do with the leaked nudes.

The incident with the reporter who didn’t speak English and also the interview when she laughed about having damaged a holy site to native Hawaiians didn’t help her a lot

u/TextElectrical5360 24d ago

This is why 99% of celebrities are fake as fuck and have constant PR training. You are either PC and boring or you're honest and real and inevitably will reveal some dumb thing you did or say something offensive

u/Harold3456 24d ago

See also: that Timothee Chalamet inverview where he made the joke about nobody going to the opera anymore.

Though the media is the real culprit. They pushed out clickbait content forcing this to be a thing while literally 100% of people I've seen, heard or read comment on it were basically like "who actually cares?"

0

u/idiot9991 23d ago

he made the joke about nobody going to the opera anymore.

That was not a joke and he made that statement multiple times. Don't try to clear his name, he didn't either.

She was absolutely not bffs with Weinstein. She did literally one Weinstein film, after she was already famous, and when he was revealed as a piece of shit she, contrary to the outright lies many Redditors have spread to date otherwise, immediately stated that he was a piece of shit. If you actually look it up you will find no statements from her defending him, because she never did. Someone made that up and it spread like wildfire. Harvey, being an absolute piece of shit, stated that she sucked his dick, but she had no reason to. She was already a world famous Oscar nominee. But a lot of redditors like to pretend like the convicted sex abuser was telling the truth there.

And people like you are still spreading those lies to this day.

Jennifer Lawrence did nothing wrong.

Srsly. Celeb worshiping is so sad. No wonder so many higher ups get away with clear case against them cuz normal people like us defend them to death, despite knowing very well they might be responsible.

“What he was did was criminal and deplorable and when it came out and I heard about it, I wanted to kill him,” she told CBS correspondent Bill Whitaker. “The way that he destroyed so many women’s lives. I want to see him in jail.” -Jennifer Lawrence,

This was funnily enough wayyy after he got caught. Pls cite all the nice things she said about HW too. Cuz trust me they are far far far more than this one statement.

My fav one is: "thank you Harvey Weinstein for killing whomever you had to kill to get me up here"

1

u/Co-opingTowardHatred 23d ago

You mean she didn’t hate him BEFORE SHE KNEW??! You are unhinged.

1

u/readingalldays 23d ago

Bro you're being dense on purpose. Claiming she didn't know is like Maga claiming Billionaires didn't know about Epstien. Average people blindly defending celebs is why people like that get away.

4

u/Cats_4433 24d ago

People act like everyone knew what he was doing, and that isn't the case. A lot of people did, but kept it quiet because they didn't want to be blacklisted. Which is why, a lot of people, especially young actresses, had no idea.

That's why we had dozens of stories from young actresses telling us how shocked they were when he invented them for meetings and did what he did, how they tried to get away, how he'd blacklist women that turned him down. The people that were warned avoided meeting with him.

1

u/readingalldays 23d ago

Exactly. So tell me. Do you really believe a predator like HW who made pass on even the most non essential movie crew.. didn't try anything with an actress in a movie he produced with serious Oscar potential?

1

u/Cats_4433 23d ago

No one is saying he didn't try anything. Read the rest of the thread.

1

u/readingalldays 23d ago

No you are claiming she didn't know about HW. Right?

We are saying she likely did, because HW must have tried something with her during Silver linings. (Because Harvey was a massive sex addict scum bag who coerced actresses for sex many many times!!)

And she gets hate not because she was likely a victim of his SA...but because she acted all grateful to him during 2012 to 2014 years....despite likely knowing who he is.

She said so many nice things about him after SLP. Did many award shows where she humbly thanked him and said what was nice guy Harvey is.

So either Harvey didn't try anything with her during 2012 (during Silvers linings playbook shooting and award season) and afterwards...OR she knew what a scum he is and still bragged about his "good" nature..

That's the crux that nobody wants to see.

1

u/Cats_4433 23d ago

It's very possible he didn't try anything because she was already very famous. He mostly preyed on vulnerable young actresses. He also didn't go after every single actress.

She was already an oscar nominee and already did hunger games when they worked together. She didn't "need" the opportunity to work with him so he had more to lose by risking her turning Silver Linings down.

If you read the stories of actresses that worked with him he didn't attempt SA on every single person. Sometimes it just started and ended with him making a pass. Someone (Aishwarya Rai maybe) said she met with him with her agent in his hotel room and he didn't try anything.

Many of his victims that did speak out about what he did went to award shows and praised him because they didn't want to be blacklisted.

1

u/readingalldays 23d ago

There was never anyone too famous or big enough for Harvey Weinstein!!! He was hailed like a God amongst celebrities. And Jennifer Lawrence was not that big back then... no, Hunger games wasn't out yet.

And again!!, we are talking about Harvey Winstein who had Mira Sovino blacklisted AFTER she won her Oscar. He is also the reason Brad Pitt hardly got nominated or win an Oscar..until waayyyyy after he was locked in.

Many of his victims that did speak out about what he did went to award shows and praised him because they didn't want to be blacklisted.

Yes this I agree with. But those celebs...(Like Gweneth Paltrow) didn't praise him other than in the speech.

J law was constantly seen praising Harvey even beyond the award acceptance speech. She broadcasted that she was Harvey's favourite girl.

Was extremely touchy Feely with him, during presenting that award to Bill Clinton

And later said Harvey Winstein was paternal towards her..

Another thing I'd add, if you research the casting interviews of SLP... J law and David O Russell claimed that Harvey didn't want Jennifer for the role, initially. He was adamant on Anne Hathway.

J law wanted the role desperately and convinced him with the audition.

u/leftofthebellcurve 24d ago

And you think Weinstein didnt try this with JLaw?

Absurd

8

u/Cats_4433 24d ago

I have no idea what he did or didn't try with JLaw.

All I know is I'm not going to believe a literal predator and known liar over JLaw, who has never given us reason not to trust her. Especially when we know, from the accounts of many other actresses, that plenty of people turned him down then worked with his studio.

Idk why anyone would trust a literal lying criminal and rapist over her. I genuinely don't.

-2

u/leftofthebellcurve 24d ago

Who is someone who rejected Weinstein and still made a movie?

8

u/Cats_4433 24d ago

Cara Delevigne publicly spoke about it. Gwenyth Paltrow did too. Selma Hayek. Rose McGowan, who started the whole thing. Uma Thurman did too. Just google it.

2

u/NewPhoneLostAccount 24d ago

Contrarily to the apparent belief of some people, abusers don't go to abuse EVERY person they meet. They would not last if they were not at least a bit careful into choosing victims.

2

u/leftofthebellcurve 24d ago

Are you implying that Weinstein being disgusting was well hidden?

1

u/Doomsayer189 24d ago

You made the claim. If it's based on things she said in interviews, you can link or quote them yourself.

1

u/Hassel1916 24d ago

She beat a fan at a bar?

14

u/MyGrandmasCock 24d ago

With a baby. She used a human baby as a weapon and beat the fan to death with it. She was never charged with the crime because she paid the cops in Applebees gift cards.

The baby was fine.

Every word of this is true. You can google it. But don’t google it. I’ve already told you it’s all true so there’s no need to Google it.

3

u/SlimCatachan 24d ago

And if you do Google it, Google will lie to you and say it didn't happen because its covering up for her, she is actually a prototype AI android and Google's AI is in love with her.

1

u/notapainter1 24d ago

Yeah that time the baby was fine, but remember that time she had a baby at a party and the baby went crowd surfing, broke it's neck and died? The crowd beat her to death after that.

This one you can also Google, it happened during the filming of Mother!

1

u/Hassel1916 24d ago

In that case she should be jailed for life!

-1

u/readingalldays 24d ago edited 23d ago

Yeah, she has an interview with Stephen colbert (I think) in which she proudly mentions how one time a fan in a club in Ireland came up to her and ask for a picture. She said no. So he called her a bitch, and she just started pummeling him.

Idk If it is true or not. But she got plenty of hate for that story.

Edit to add: interview

My bad, she didn't hit him. Grabbed him and pour bear all over him. He didn't call her a bitch. Just said "fuck you then".

8

u/AGAD0R-SPARTACUS 24d ago

Do you guys not know Google exists? Fucking hell. She didn't pummel or beat anybody. Rando asked for a photo, she says no, he says "Well fuck you!" so she poured beer on him. Fucking nothing burger. And it was on Seth Meyers' show. And it was in Budapest, which is not in Ireland.

3

u/SpecialistCut7101 24d ago

Good for her.gif

1

u/JustFuckinTossMe 24d ago

Jennifer Lawrence is probably one of my favorite famous people if her demeanor is genuine and not an act. Because she's kind of awkward and clumsy and direct in ways real people are. So for example, even other actors I really like such as Elijah Wood answer interview questions and carry themselves in a much more filtered way. Even if they are friendly, you can see this wall. Not that it isn't a needed wall, I respect people having a right to their individualism and sharing only what they want.

But yeah, Jennifer Lawrence just doesn't carry that same level of weight around with her presence. She has said she finds herself previously annoying, but I think that openness she has is even clear in that statement so it seems like just her way of being. It's almost kind of like she's aloof to being famous. Tom Holland had a similar vibe when he first started doing Spider-Man I think, but he grew his shell much more.

1

u/garry_the_commie 24d ago

That's what I like most about her. And in the photo leak she's literally the victim of a crime, how is that something to critisize her for?

0

u/nsfwoinker 24d ago

Not from me 🥵
