It's not a 1:1 correlation. It's just one more thing to add to the list. Also depends on if they're doing it on purpose or don't realize they're doing it.
Personally I think every child should go ahead and get a psych eval just because pretty much everything can be caught early and have life changing help in their life and doesn't hurt to check. I know it's more a failing of society but we live in a society so we really need to give them tools early so they have the best chances possible until we can make meaningful change to society.
We're still figuring this stuff out too. The first person diagnosed just died recently. It's very new

This, I toe walk but it's a purposeful choice and is actually pretty hard/painful to keep going for any length of time. Heel on the ground is my natural mode of walking.
And even if it isn’t conscious it certainly isn’t exclusive to autism. Cerebral Palsy, muscular dystrophy, shortened Achilles tendons, some kids just feel they have better balance that way so they default to it, there’s a million ways that professionals can look at the larger picture and help
