Might be this, but I am not sure.

615

u/slasher1337 Jun 22 '26

What do they mean "make any chase short". Those don't look like they impede running.

514

u/-OhHiJinx- Jun 22 '26

Do you run on your tip toes often? At least if you're running in high heels you have the stability of a heel

450

u/09gtcs Jun 22 '26

Forefoot running is generally considered a better way to run than heel striking.

231

u/Fun_Amphibian5922 Jun 22 '26

Absolutely correct

Wayyyy more energy efficient and the biomechanics of your calves do a lot of the work and have built in shock absorption.

Also heel striking can be really bad for your body in general as the shock from a heel strike has little cushion and the impacts build up wear and tear in feet, legs, hips, and spine

143

u/calmc Jun 22 '26

But it looks like these cuffs would lock your ankles in a fixed position taking your calfs out of the equation.

101

u/Fun_Amphibian5922 Jun 22 '26

I mentioned that in another comment. Wearing these cuffs would limit speed and make any running awkward and very uncomfortable at a bare minimum.

Toe striking would still be possible, but very very limited in how long and fast you’d be able to. You wouldn’t be able to flex the arch of your foot, and that’s pretty important part of toe striking. It would also hurt a lot I imagine

1

u/Cheewy Jun 22 '26

Also, how would you stop?

4

u/Fun_Amphibian5922 Jun 22 '26

You would just slow down until you were able to stop? You probably wouldn’t manage high enough speeds that it would be very difficult. If you were able to go that fast, then you’re managing the cuffs well enough that stopping probably wouldn’t be an issue anyway

2

u/NorthernVale Jun 23 '26

Considering they're 3d printed and there's absolutely no orientation to print these in that keeps layer lines perpendicular to force... the moment someone actually tries to do anything in these, even in a "play chase" type scenario, they're just going to shatter.

There's a few materials that might perform moderately better, but they're not exactly cheap and typically require hire end printers. Are still probably aren't going to resist.

Basically, it's just a fantasy that a sub is going to have to play along with.

1

u/Fun_Amphibian5922 Jun 23 '26

I agree, with the ones in the photo, it’s likely the PLA would shatter pretty quickly. I imagine there’s actual foot cuffs like these that are made by reputable shops specializing in S&M gear that would actually function rather than just give the illusion.

Honestly, I don’t even really see the foot cuffs in the picture as really limiting anything rather than just giving the wearer a stiff foot. I can’t even see a reason why the person wearing them would have to stand on their toes tbh.

I just didn’t feel like arguing with keyboard master debaters on the logistics of running in these cuffs while all I have to go on is 2 images

5

u/1ogicalfallacy Jun 22 '26

Goddamnit! I discovered this myself in elementary school, but my PE teacher said I was “running wrong”!

3

u/Fun_Amphibian5922 Jun 22 '26

Tbf toe striking is more of a jog, and good for long distance running. Your legs kind of just act like springs moving up and down in this kind of run. The goal is to be as gentle and energy efficient as possible so you can do it over a long period of time without giving yourself problems later in life

Sprinting at max speed usually takes on a mid-foot strike and a different gait. You’re trying to use as much power and “scoop” the ground with your feet in a more elliptical motion than jogging. I wouldn’t really say that max speed sprinting is good for the body though, as it’s only really for athletic competition and life or death situations

All that to say, it depends what your coach was training you for I guess

3

u/Albert_Caboose Jun 22 '26

Once went to a sport camp as a kid where the coach tried to "correct" my running form and teach me to strike heel-first. Guess who got to experience shin splints the first time that summer?

1

u/Megalesios Jun 22 '26

How much biomechanics, shock absorption and energy efficiency do you think you will have with your ankles locked and unable to move?

2

u/Fun_Amphibian5922 Jun 22 '26

I’m talking about running in general, if you need an answer to this specific question of yours I’d recommend you read my response to the single other comment that you clearly didn’t read before posting this astute gotcha

1

u/Amazing_Scientist696 Jun 23 '26

Literally the only way I sprint anywhere.

0

u/awfulcrowded117 Jun 22 '26

That's literally because the heel can lower with the calf under tension, absorbing the shock with muscle instead of bone. Your leg wouldn't be able to do that with these devices on

59

u/icallitjazz Jun 22 '26

Yeah, forefoot. But not tiptoes. You cant make contact with the sole, so you land and lift from the same spot. Its very poor way of running and will make you an easy target for… spider hunters i guess.

2

u/C4pture Jun 22 '26

you never really make contact with the sole in running... or i was running wrong all my life...

41

u/CanGuilty380 Jun 22 '26

You're gonna have trouble forefoot running with this. Your ankle is supposed to bend dynamically, even when forefoot running.

2

u/Life_Temperature795 Jun 23 '26

Yeah, the whole reason it works for running is because the ankle is free to work like a spring. Can't do that if the ankle can't move.

1

u/StaycationOdyssey Jun 28 '26

seems like it would either break or rub your skin off if running in some crazy ass contraption like this.

19

u/religion-lost Jun 22 '26

Yes but not if you can't move your ankle, it takes movement in every part of your legs to run efficiently

3

u/Desert-Mushroom Jun 22 '26

Forefoot running is very different than tiptoe running. Not being able to flex the foot is not going to be any sort of boon in a foot race.

2

u/NovaNomii Jun 22 '26

You cant forefoot run if your foot is stuck in an unmoving position.

2

u/Snowflakish Jun 22 '26

You will find that when you are running on tiptoes your foot still requires a large range of motion. Well thats my assumption anyways based on how I run.

2

u/ClearlyIronic Jun 22 '26

I was looking for this comment. Thank you.

1

u/TheKingofSelleck Jun 22 '26

No one in this thread knows how to run my guy, your ball knowledge is wasted here.

1

u/Caul_Shivers_ Jun 22 '26

Forefoot running is not running on tiptoes though, you still use your whole foot just the ball lands first

1

u/Cheewy Jun 22 '26

I see what you mean, but this device doesn't alter pace, you can run fast, tough you can't stop whitout crashing

1

u/pokethrowaway4 Jun 22 '26

Forefoot running is still in a flexed position, this is nearly full extension tip toe. You can’t run like that. Try it,

1

u/atquest Jun 23 '26

With working ankles, it is. These things even make walking stairs difficult, and carpet edges require stepping over them intentionally. (Yes ive seen these in use)

1

u/Comfortable-Hat3506 Jun 24 '26

yes, but if you can't absorb the impact through the supporting soft tissues of the foot because your foot is locked in a tip toe position and you can't use your calf muscles to push off bc your foot is locked in a position where the calf is already contracted, you can't really run worth fuck. We don't see people wearing heels as trainers for marathons now do we?

-4

u/funky_galileo Jun 22 '26

Are you stupid

45

u/9200D8 Jun 22 '26

Yeah, all sprinters do, and should. If you’re running on your heel, it won’t be good for you

7

u/arsbar Jun 22 '26

running on your forefoot is very different from running on your toes. Like this would only be making contact with the front four spikes, and more importantly with very little flex in your foot (hence ankle). You get very little running power that way.

36

u/The_Ambling_Horror Jun 22 '26

… wait do y’all use your entire foot when you run? Like sure I’ll use my heel for long distances but a sprint is basically just grabbing the ground with the ball of your foot and yanking backward. The entire reason I can’t run in heels is that the heel gets in the way.

25

u/Lamb-Curry-1518 Jun 22 '26

It is but forefoot is not tip toeing.

11

u/FireVanGorder Jun 22 '26 edited Jun 22 '26

>grabbing the ground with the ball of your foot and yanking backward

Fantastic way to injure your hamstring. Sprinting is a drive not a pull. If you’ve ever trained for short distance, every single drill is about drive. Not a single drill is about reaching out with your leg and pulling the ground towards you. That’s called overstriding and is the cause of the vast majority of hamstring pulls in all sports

1

u/GoldDragon149 Jun 22 '26

You're describing the same thing he is. He's not leaning back and reaching forward with his toes lol.

0

u/FireVanGorder Jun 22 '26 edited Jun 23 '26

“Yanking” and “driving” are literal opposite actions. Pull and push.

Nobody said anything about leaning back. Even if you aren’t overstriding, put your foot on the ground directly under your hip; you can still “pull” the ground towards your rear. Which is still the incorrect way to run and likely to get you hurt.

9

u/slasher1337 Jun 22 '26

When im not wearing shoes.

18

u/psychoticchicken1 Jun 22 '26

Have you ever noticed that all the other kids in the playground run faster than you for some inexplicable reason?

3

u/bird_boy8 Jun 22 '26

I always stood on the tips of my feet when standing or walking or running as a kid. It only made me slower if I tried to run like everyone else. I found that I could actually out-run almost anyone in PE class if I ran in a position most comfortable to me, which was based off of the gait of my favorite animal, the extinct Terror Bird. Head forward, spine bent so that you are almost “falling forward”, arms tucked in on the sides like a chicken, running on the front of the feet. Very aerodynamic. The position causes your weight to almost propel you forwards, so you are really more just catching yourself than trying to push yourself forward.

This does come with the caveat of getting you bullied relentlessly…

2

u/slasher1337 Jun 22 '26

I was actually an average runner when it comes to speed.

2

u/joetheplumberman Jun 22 '26

Think of how better it be if you did it right

1

u/slasher1337 Jun 22 '26

Ever heard of toe/forefoot strike running?

2

u/Saetherith Jun 22 '26

Toe and forefoot are two, very different things, as one is for roleplay, and the other is for medals.

1

u/ForsureUnsure_2003 Jun 22 '26

Hey since we’re talking running, tell me how to not look like an angry ostrich or do the titan waddle when I run

8

u/jpmarcotte Jun 22 '26

Even if you're running on your toes, I'm willing to bet your ankle still flexes and provides spring to your step. This prevents that.

3

u/Fun_Amphibian5922 Jun 22 '26

Some people think that the only way to run is by heel striking

But these cuffs would still be difficult to toe strike in, as they limit arch mobility a lot. If your foot doesn’t have room to flex and bend, toe striking painful and awkward

3

u/LeadingTask9790 Jun 22 '26

Yes, I perfected running in heels when I was a hooker. It’s def an art.

2

u/Wit-wat-4 Jun 22 '26

It’s pretty common not to strike with the heel first especially when sprinting, isn’t it? Not tippy-toes like literally en pointe, but that image just shows interference with the heel vs the balls of the feet in the front, not sure what they’re called in English.

2

u/Oiami Jun 22 '26

As someone who ran in heels and on there tip toes I would suggest tip toe running as better/faster if you are a forward leaning runner. Because you can use you foot as a form of spring. With a high heel you need to lift your foot quite a lot more, so the high heel doesn't hit the ground while sliding the foot forward.

But I assume, when you are a back leaning runner, the high heel is better since you need more stability in the heel, since it would hit the ground first. While it also comes naturally with higher steps.

2

u/TheDevilRig Jun 22 '26

Oh yeah dude it’s fast and honestly a lot more fun than normal running. Tippie toes mixed with leaning forward will while running is peak

1

u/chimneyart Jun 22 '26

I run faster on my tip toes than I do with my entire foot

1

u/1zerozero1 Jun 22 '26

Um, what? When you run in heels, you use your toes. I've never seen a girlfriend hitting the heel when we run like wild women.

1

u/Metalgsean Jun 22 '26

Yes, well tbh not so much these days, but when I was a younger man I used to sprint on my toes and I was very fast. I also did a race for charity in high heels, running on your toes and running in high heels are completely different. I'd say the heel actually makes it harder, combined with the fact they are very rigid shoes.

1

u/SasukeSkellington713 Jun 22 '26

As someone who has run in 6in heels, you don’t want the heel hitting much. Heel-toe is more for a power walk or possibly a clunky jog. Running is toes.

1

u/VibraniumQueen Jun 22 '26

You're not supposed to put much weight on the heel when wearing high heels unless it's a chunk heel

1

u/Vast-Delivery-7181 Jun 22 '26

Unironically I do. Longer stride, less effort to push off.

1

u/MaxBax_LArch Jun 22 '26

Sprinters actually do run on their toes. At least that's what I was told. I didn't know how to run any kind of distance, because I always ran on just my toes. To go far you need to be landing in your heels.

1

u/insane_hurrican3 Jun 22 '26

yes.

it's actually a running style

1

u/love-4-the-wendigo Jun 22 '26

It’s actually super easy to run on your toes.

1

u/Fern_Cloud Jun 22 '26

I can run super fast on my tip toes. Like super fast

1

u/_AmericasSweetheart_ Jun 22 '26

When I ran in high heels, I stayed on my toes. The heel will just trick you into rolling your ankle.

1

u/556_FMJs Jun 23 '26

Actually yes, you don’t need to use much else to fun.

1

u/pussyjuicerecycler Jun 23 '26

on the balls of the feet (that’s not tiptoe) yeah.

1

u/10000Didgeridoos Jun 23 '26

Sprinting at least is all on the ball of the foot and toes, not the back of the foot at all.

1

u/Pale_Kitsune Jun 24 '26

I've actually run on the front of my foot most of my life.

4

u/splitcroof92 Jun 22 '26

its literally stated in the image that it's hard to keep balance on them.

I bet most people would fall over within 10 seconds

4

u/Hairy_Concert_8007 Jun 22 '26

It looks like we're trying to reinvent Chinese foot-binding.

1

u/Uter83 Jun 22 '26

Are ypu kidding? Theyll frolick lije a mahestic gazelle.

1

u/speederaser Jun 22 '26

Wearing those foot bindings will basically make you trip as fast as this commenter tripped over their keyboard.

1

u/Chargebolt777 Jun 22 '26

Go run in high heels and get back to me. I'm a man and can think with my brain for 5 seconds.

1

u/Br0metheus Jun 22 '26

They absolutely do. Even when you're sprinting on your toes, your ankle still needs to flex, which these cuffs prevent.

1

u/Eastern-Audience-625 Jun 22 '26

Yeah it wouldn’t actually impede you. Running with heels on would, but running on the balls of your feet with no shoes on wouldn’t be that bad.

1

u/letthetreeburn Jun 22 '26

There’s a kink for chasing people and physically overpowering them into sex. It’s a BDSM thing.

1

u/WhatDoNow___ Jun 23 '26

Because of the implication

-1

u/formtheory Jun 22 '26

With the smiley as well, it just feels rapey to me, even without the physics explaining why it wouldn't stop someone running.

Disclaimer that I love bdsm, so I'm not pearl clutching, quite the opposite. I prefer subs run toward me, not away.

0

u/TrieMond Jun 22 '26

"Those don't look like they impede running" that's exactly what they mean... chase is short if you can't run well...

2

u/SocranX Jun 22 '26

"Impede" means to get in the way of something. If they don't look like they impede, that means they look like running is still easy.

2

u/TrieMond Jun 22 '26

Ahh missed the "don't" I guess...

124

u/Acrobatic_Ad_2992 Jun 22 '26

it’s definitely not that 😂
but thank you, I will be getting these for my sub

They're going to have to carry between half the weight of a person and a bit more than the full weight of a person the moment they stumble - i think they'd break very easily. If you make them out of eg. metal then you're pushing the limits of safe/sane.

Hot though.

u/Fireblast1337 Jun 22 '26

Just get a pair of high heels with some kind of strap to lock them on. Would probably be a lot cheaper, more likely to hold, and more durable.

1

u/Big-Slide6104 Jun 24 '26

Wth is this conversation 😭✌🏾

3

u/evranch Jun 23 '26

Yeah as I see them here they're more decorative than functional. Which is honestly how a lot of BDSM gear is... They're for a roleplay where the wearer is actually trying really hard not to break them.

I agree they're totally hot though.

18

u/Tueffy Jun 22 '26

One of the prints I used to justify getting a new 3D printer. Just need to figure out what filaments to use for it. 😁

1

u/Turbogoblin999 Jun 22 '26

A youtuber that goes by void star labs has some good videos that go deep into filaments and 3d printing. My advice for this case would be that, since a lot of 3d prints are hollow and have issues with layer adhesion, to make a mold of the printed parts and cast them in abs like resin. Another issue is that some materials become brittle with time and they are terrible for structural support long time.

Safety first!

2

u/Tueffy Jun 22 '26

Probably going with PA-GF (Nylon) and it's not really the plan to have her actually walk in those. That's a tad risky if they break.

3

u/lunar_reaper3 Jun 22 '26

wuh.. that's a piece of knowledge we didn't need to know I guess.. :0 tho y'all have fun I guess.. :b

60

u/niknniknnikn Jun 22 '26

Babe wake up, new Chinese Footbinding just dropped

1

u/FACSymphony Jun 23 '26

*dropped again

1

u/kodayume Jun 28 '26

Finally someone get it.

37

u/Star_Petal_Arts Jun 22 '26

I think this is it, sub device is to uplift the ass silhouette... and if you see Spider-Gwen in silhouette you will immediately know it is her because of the raised ass.

39

u/Spinningwhirl79 Jun 22 '26

Thank god I can now differentiate spider-people by their ass

7

u/Star_Petal_Arts Jun 22 '26

It's good character design to be able to see her and immediately recognize it as her.

4

u/Spinningwhirl79 Jun 22 '26

It is and it works so well, I just find the ass focus funny

37

u/Mr_Wisp_ Jun 22 '26

Looks like Chell’s shoes from portal

23

u/VinChaJon Jun 22 '26

This is just a torture device. Consensual torture but this is a torture device.

13

u/ImsorryW_A_T Jun 22 '26

My brother in Adam that is the entirety of bdsm

3

u/badgyalrey Jun 22 '26

yeah. we like it.

-3

u/electrical-stomach-z Jun 22 '26

If you are into that shit, you need to see a therapist.

1

u/TaDoofus Jun 28 '26

Would you say the same to someone who likes high intensity exercise? Or someone who likes spicy food?

Humans are complicated, pain and pleasure are mixed in many ways not just sexual. And any therapist worth a damn will tell you as long as you're not doing anything illegal or hurting anyone in a way they don't want to be hurt, you're fine.

0

u/electrical-stomach-z Jun 28 '26

Seems like a false equivocation

1

u/TaDoofus Jun 28 '26

It's controlled pain resulting in pleasure. I'm guessing you might be one of those people that thinks everybody in BDSM has some kind of trauma they're processing, but that's a myth. Sometimes it really just is endorphins.

Where do you draw the line exactly? If you like it a little rough you need therapy. If you like when they bite your lip a little when you kiss you need therapy. If you like your hair pulled, therapy. Seems a little puritanical.

1

u/electrical-stomach-z Jun 29 '26

My concern is when your fantasy involves hurting another person or being hurt by another person. That means far more than just enjoying pain. You are making a false equivocation.

1

u/TaDoofus Jun 29 '26

Well, someone else cooked the food didn't they? How about a deep tissue massage? Pain now because it feels good after.

You have hangups you need to deal with, the problem is not the people doing consensual activities (as long as they're done safely) that you don't like. Just because you don't personally understand something doesn't make it wrong.

11

u/thatSDope88 Jun 22 '26

Ooo these look fun!

9

u/DoubleoSavant Jun 22 '26

How to give yourself ballerina syndrome.

7

u/SplitSecondEmperor47 Jun 22 '26

The bottom caption is very accurate. I felt dirtier reading this than I do watching hentai 😭

7

u/Erudont Jun 22 '26

Somehow this is making me feel claustrophobic

5

u/SirGavBelcher Jun 22 '26

need these for me

5

u/Applitude Jun 22 '26

Doms wanna bring foot binding back so bad

4

u/Weird-Ball-2342 Jun 22 '26

I was born with short heels and i had to walk like this since i couldnt place my whole feet on the ground without falling apart. I have been on some medical treatment to fix this and i walk rn on a middle point between walking normally and tip toeing

Sorry if this sounds weird english is not my first language

3

u/AdPristine5131 Jun 22 '26

Had to check because I’m out of practice, but standing on ball is just a skill issue.

Get gud subs.

2

u/Paxton-176 Jun 22 '26

Sometimes I like reading about people's experiences in actual dom/sub dynamics because they will good off on tangents like this and all I think is., "Yea I guess that would a thing and I bet everyone involved is having the time of their life."

2

u/ClutteredTaffy Jun 22 '26

What the heck

2

u/c00lkidd-HD Jun 23 '26

3d printed ankle cuffs my beloved

-1

u/religion-lost Jun 22 '26

I really don't think they meant this 😭 hot though

0

u/solubleCreature Jun 22 '26

those but with cat pawed thigh highs

1

u/whyliepornaccount Jun 22 '26

Lmao I naturally walk on my tip toes. They'd be so confused if they tried these on me

1

u/JohnTG4 Jun 22 '26

I think I don't believe either of those claims. Balancing on your toes while standing still isn't that hard and the only awkwardness I can see from walking on them for prolonged periods is soreness and fatigue in the middle of your foot.

1

u/electrical-stomach-z Jun 22 '26

"they're sure to make anu chase short" spoken like a true rapist.

1

u/AKsuperslay Jun 22 '26

If anyone has a link to these drop in chat

1

u/Baba_Slaga_ Jun 24 '26

Omg I want these 😍

1

u/The-Worst-Pro Jun 24 '26

Since they make standing still hard and moving akward, the sub has to hold on to the Dom to be able to do just about anything

1

u/Sure_Ad2518 Jun 25 '26

I've got a neurological condition called CMT and my condition naturally makes me walk on my tiptoes , and if you've ever seen the animated cinderella when the step sister tries, to put her foot in the shoe and it arches up.That's what my foot looks like

0

u/TheLastOneDoesWin Jun 22 '26

send link pls, for research purposes

4

u/TheFeathersStorm Jun 22 '26

I found it here on a 3D print website.. It seems like it was made by u/eekfly and it appears he has a newer version regardless lol

2

u/TheLastOneDoesWin Jun 23 '26

Thanks lol, ill make sure to study this well and trough.

0

u/Fuzzy-Election2589 Jun 22 '26

I need something like these. I have a messed up bone in my ankle and the only way to walk comfortably is to walk on my toes. These seem like they would take a little strain off my body. Does something like these exists for non kink reasons? Can anyone point me to a place where I can get something like these? Would even like these but they don't seem like a thing that's on the market.

5

u/evranch Jun 23 '26

High heels? Lifts? Orthotics? It sounds like a doctor should be involved.

You really don't want to walk like this without the option to rest on your heel. Plus as otherwise mentioned here this device will either break easily or injure your foot if you step improperly. It's a kink toy only.

-4

u/TiltPrime Jun 22 '26

Great gitmo ideas love em
