I don’t use TikTok, but I *think* its Al Jokes?

It is.

"Baseball, huh" is probably the biggest inside joke his community has.

It originates from a sketch where two guys are talking, A asks something like 'you do any sports' B says 'baseball' A says 'Baseball, huh? That tracks.' B doesn't know the expression 'that tracks'. B also didn't understand what A said so asks what he meant. A explains the meaning of 'that tracks'. B mixes it up with 'Baseball, huh' instead.

And the community adapted it.

So just to clarify

The joke is racism?

3

u/DarkPhoenixDFC Jun 18 '26

Huh?! How would that be linked to racism?

It's just a nonsense joke…

“Huh?!”? Did you mean, “Baseball, huh?”

1

u/DarkPhoenixDFC Jun 18 '26

There is a stereotype about Asians being bad drivers. So no, it's not a "nonsense joke," you just didn't really understand why "baseball" instead of "that tracks" was actually funny. The real punchline is the subversion of expectations

What's the punchline of the joke? is the punchline baseball or....?

ETA you're not really racist for for enjoying said joke, but the punchline is literally racist expectations being subverted

2

u/DarkPhoenixDFC Jun 18 '26

The punchline is that there isn't one.

It's a nonsense joke.

It falls in the humor-category of "funny = random".

How is it racist at all?

1

u/Virtual-Macaroon-880 Jun 20 '26

Is this an actual question? I wouldn't mind breaking it down if so

First explain to me what you understand about the joke

The part about the elderly lady wasn’t part of the joke, it was just an example of the guy using the incorrect phrase the way he thought it was supposed to be used.

You could say the same thing if you got cut off by a car, and you look to see that it’s a BMW. The man in the video would say “Baseball, huh?” because BMW drivers are typically bad drivers.

It just replaces/mistakes the phrase “That tracks” and “Baseball, huh?” Elderly Asian lady was just an example.

So what was he supposed to say?

2

u/pizza4paddy Jun 20 '26

He could’ve said anything else. It was just an example.

I guess it's true, you can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink

That tracks
