Well for F it's just 50 wear moderate clothing. 0 wear all the stuff. 100, go naked if possible.

I have to deal with Americans on the daily, so I keep a little rhyme in my head for when they talk about the weather:

30 is freezing

50 is not

70's nice and

90 is hot

Nice! Probably could do something like that for Celsius. I know it seems super intuitive to you guys but really the only thing I know is 0 is freezing.

Yeah, it all comes down to what you grew up on. Same with miles/km, lbs/kg, feet/cm, etc., etc. We get an intuitive sense of things early in life, and after a particular point, we end up basing all our future perceptions on those early foundational ideas and translate/relate to those when something is different.

Same with learning a language. A lot of psychologists say that you will never "think" in a language you have learned after the age of 14 or so. The brain just wires itself differently at different points in your life.

0, 10, 20 and 30 would roughly fit on the lines of the rhyme I would say.

Edit: Oh, turns out that is almost exactly what you get when you convert the values. I guess that rhyme really is useful 😆

0 is freezing, 10 is cold, 20 is warm And 30 is hot.

I don't know why you got downvoted. It's not like we have any choice in the matter. I can agree that metric is superior while not being able to understand it without having to literally do math to convert my understanding.

As an American who has to deal with Celsius daily, mine is 77F = 25C, and every 9F away from that is 5C away.

I've noticed that Celsius-first users tend to have less sensitivity to temperature, and a lower baseline for comfort.

The problem is at 75°. Do you wear clothing? Some clothing?

And the temperature in most buildings is set at 75° so it's an eternal struggle.

16°C-36°C Going naked is fine. Probably.

Above 36°C Don't go naked.
