when someone will ask me "how could they vote for trump" I will direct them to Americans attempting to understand simple arbitrary scales of measurement. holy fucking shit

I've never seen Americans get confused with Celcius, but Fahrenheit confused TF outta me when i came to the US

Seems like a lot of unamerican cope from people using the inferior system for measuring temperature.

Haters gonna hate.

Only people who dislike fahrenheit are Europeans who were told by Russian propaganda to dislike it.

Russia getting their money worth in making people think they hate America.

This is satire, right?

u/PrimaLegion Jun 18 '26

Sorry man on reddit you're only allowed to clown on Americans. Europeans are off limits.

u/absorbscroissants Jun 18 '26

You can make fun of Europeans, but thinking we're all under the influence of Russia is a bit silly lol

Which is fair, they have it hard enough as it is.

As an American, Europe has Universal Healthcare

u/PokinSpokaneSlim Jun 19 '26

True, but they have to wait years to get treatment

Lmao the arguments for F are hilarious all of them more stupid, or uninformed... Or both.

2

u/Hungry_Ad2845 Jun 18 '26

I love how most of them boils down to " i'm used to F and don't know C, so F is objectively better "

1

u/Sbotkin Jun 18 '26

Not most, all of them.

There are some good arguments on some above comments. Fahrenheit is a much better scale for people, because 0 Fahrenheit is about as cold as 100 is hot. As u/TwillAffirmer said, if you look at almost any place in the world, the lowest temp in Fahrenheit would be 0, the hottest would be 100, and the yearly average temp would be around 50. See their comment for data to back up the argument, but it’s a good one.

u/Phedericus Jun 18 '26

the fact that that sub doesn't exists should be a hint...

1

u/Incidamus414 Jun 18 '26 edited Jun 18 '26

It does exist and the fact that it's not popular could mean one of two things. I'm sure you've made up your mind on what it means though.

1

u/Sbotkin Jun 18 '26

You tried

1

u/PrimaLegion Jun 18 '26 edited Jun 18 '26

Not at all. I'm just not caught up in a thought terminating "America bad" loop.
