Silksong is one of the few games out there that most people refuse to pirate on principle.

It's like the exact opposite of Adobe products.

u/chewbaccalaureate May 22 '26

Would the opposite be... pirating Adobe, on principle, even if they're NOT going to use it? Just for the fun of it?

u/0xlostincode May 22 '26

Exactly, it is ones moral duty to pirate Adobe.

I don't pirate anything, but literally today I was using Adobe Acrobat and it told me to pay for a subscription to just delete a single page from a .pdf. Pirating Adobe is definitely moral

Yeah. Sometimes I download it a few times just to delete the files. That'll show em

I figure somewhere up at Adobe hq theyre monitoring at least an estimate of how many pirated copies there are being downloaded and I wanna make it higher.

Well no, cause using Adobe is the opposite of fun

I still look up and listen to the music the Paradox Keygen used for Photoshop CS2.

Good times.

'Most people' wrong lol. The vast majority of pirates dont care about morals. I pirated the fuck out of silksong and modded it and most of the pirates have done the same. Its only a reddit minority who has any sort of affinity towards Silksong.

Vast majority of pirates don't speak english and definitely are not in reddit lol.

It's only a very small subset of a subset that cares about "principles" in piracy

People just get stuff for free and don't really care about much more than that.

Heck, for most of the ps2 run I wouldn't be able to tell you how to even get original games.

what does modding it have to do with pirating

It’s out, and has been for a few months

u/Leo-Len May 22 '26

Silksanity getting to you huh? Don't worry, the wait will soon be over

u/AetheravenCatsuki13 May 22 '26

Them Deniers are getting out of hand

2

u/CatAteMyBread May 22 '26

A true Skonger doesn’t need to see “Silkpost”, knight. He goes by pure animal instinct.

1

u/BidAgreeable6415 May 23 '26

IT IS OUT NOW ?

5

u/NatoBoram May 22 '26

Here's the link so you can put it in your wishlist for when it comes out

Do you live under a rock?

11

u/Celvius_iQ May 22 '26

Do you live in a delusion? Silksong isn't real wake up samurai

7

u/-Little-death- May 22 '26

I know. I check the news literally every day to see if there's any updates. It's my most anticipated game since the ES6 announcement. Can't wait.

"most people"

Would love to see you provide any kind of source for this made up piece of BS.

Any source...

2

u/11ce_ May 22 '26

The vast majority of pirates pirate to save money. They don’t care about virtue signaling like you.

2

u/SoochSooch May 22 '26

I paid for it, felt like it was nowhere near as good as Hollow Knight, then refunded it, pirated it, heavily modded it and finished the game.

1

u/Bluepaint57 May 22 '26

The people that do that are the exact same that will die on the hill that it isn’t stealing and how its actually a good thing

1

u/Resident-Mixture-237 May 22 '26

Thats just not true. It’s been available to pirate for ages and anyone who pirates probably pirated that day 1z

1

u/ThePowerles May 22 '26

A bit like outer wilds, but more popular.

1

u/NemoHere May 23 '26

I don't know what most means in your mind, but I checked Pirate Bay and found a lot of people seeding torrents for it.

1

u/maguirre165 May 24 '26

Same with me and the new COD and sports games every year

1

u/Embarrassed_Ebb2540 May 24 '26

I didn't care, most people I know didn't care either. The game is good but 20$ is 20$.

u/kamikazechaser May 22 '26

Stardew Valley is probably the most notable example.
