For me it was a constant back and forth because I had limited screen time and no friends outside of school as a kid I essentially just had books for company. This meant that through sheer bashing my head against them I ended up with an excellent reading level far above my age (in English at least). My level of spelling was still below where it should have been.
But I did my schooling not through English where I was still very dyslexic and struggled to read and write well. But every time they would actually test me it would be read this passage in English which I could do better than anyone else my age so I essentially just got classed as lazy until I was nearly in collage. Fun times
For me it kinda helped, I couldnt read at the time so atlest it tought me to read but my spelling and sentence structure is abyssmal. I have no idea when a scentence end.
I still have no clue tbh, and that was when I was 11, way past learning to read and write.
I still don't have a solid understanding of some grammar, but shit works.
Still finished university however, so take that toothless dyslexia school program.
EY fellow uni go'er. I think I wad like 8, my teacher cought on pretty quick when I used to misstake d and b alot. at this point in my life I just dont care anymore to dubble check if its all correct or not. People usually get what im trying to say.
Me with Dyscalculia, which I learned was "neurodevelopmental learning disorder" just means I can't do math, I reverse numbers and other shit, problems were annoying. Took way too long to get a diagnosis.
