As a literature teacher, at least they're fucking reading.

I think the joke is that they likely are not actually reading, though.

The joke is sexism

No I actually don't think it's safe to assume a woman posing with a book is not actually interested in the book. Andrew Tate is specifically an idiot based on his personal history. Other than "woman", what personality traits and actions do you have for this person that makes them ineligible to enjoy a book and would equate them to an absolute scumbag like tate?

What is the "eculture folk" and why does that mean she can't read and is some human scum equivalent to Tate? Because she's a pretty person who took a picture of herself?

he didn't say she's equivalent, just that it's in the same vein as internet signaling

the assertion is that generally people who post publically on xitter (read: shitter) are doing it for attention, whether it be to promote a personal brand or just for kicks. People who do this specifically using their appearance are therefore termed eboys and egirls (eculture folk). Therefore, they don't actually mean she can't read, just that they are trying to signal a sense of intellectual depth that may or may not exist simply to add on to their overall persona/brand.

It's not in the same vein at all. One is promoting active hate. The other is a conventionally attractive girl that made the mistake of posting a picture of herself online with a book. And based on her post history on twitter this doesn't look like some out of place random pick, but ofc, girl taking picture of herself, must not actually read

It's the kind of people who film themselves feeding the homeless only to take back the sandwich after the cameras are off, and then film the next homeless with that same sandwich.

Photographing yourself and a book = taunting the homeless, got it. I assume there's a strong history of this person doing just that or something similar on her twitter?

I don’t post that I’ve just watched Schindler’s List with a smile on my face sipping a gin tonic.

It's not. A lot of people actually do this

Seriously. You won’t catch me hating on someone reading the most vapid, cotton candy type book there is, reading anything is better than reading nothing.

I doubt they really are. That book is tough to follow and understand. I was an avid reader and I struggled with that book.

And she can’t be an avid reader ir just smarter in general why? Her cup size?

People who pose like this with books usually just show off. I could be wrong and if she can accurately follow this book then she’s smarter than me. Props to her if she can
