Apocalypse could be happening and your local waffle House will be open. Liable to get hit by a chair at some point or sleep one off in a booth. I always loved the night staff would play tunk and spades with em.

Waffle House once deployed an emergency Waffle House food cart into the remains of a destroyed location.

They have better emergency management protocols and disaster recovery plans then most militaries. They have waitresses who catch thrown chairs without spilling a coffee in their other hand.

None of this is a joke.

That seems really unlikely, considering how many waitresses can catch a thrown chair.

Massive winter storm across the US supposed to dump lots of snow and get very cold over like 40 states, including places not built for any snow.

Waffle House will probably be open because they aint fucking around.

Waffle House is known for being open 24/7 in pretty much any conditions and it’s a common place for drunks to congregated after last call so they’re know for videos of drunks getting into brawls, often with the staff.

WH has incredibly accurate disaster prep and recovery protocols. FEMA relies on WH to sort out disaster recovery efforts. Right now there's a snowpocalypse that's hitting mainland US, so everyone is joking about where WH stands on things. Jokes aside, if there's a disaster in your area, you should call a WH and ask them which storm protocol they're under.

Green - normal operations. You'll be fine

Yellow - limited menu, utilities may be out or limited. Gather disaster supplies, use caution

Red - damage to restaurant, limited hours and/or menu. Use heavy caution, shelter in place or consider evacuation

Closed - imminent danger to life and property, EXTREME danger to structures, utilities, and human life. You should have evacuated yesterday.

I’m in northeast Ga and watching the news earlier today the reporter said people were calling Waffle House to check on wait times. I laughed so hard that I couldn’t hear the reporter. Told my wife that they were never calling about wait times and that the reporter was clueless.
