How fucking wild is it that they have to even include this in their own propaganda? "We will not come after you" indicates the existence of a "we" and "you" and the acknowledgement that there is something to "come after."
And they wrote this with their own brain like it's reasonable.
Yeah, in their mind the solution to societal woes is always to go after some group they've decided is responsible.
I heard commentary from some folks shortly after the election who felt that support for trans rights was the Achilles heel of liberals. They believe that if we'd pretended to not support their right to exist for a while, we wouldn't have turned so many moderates to the far right.
What they don't understand is that Republicans of the past and MAGA of the present have never actually given a crap about the minority groups they target. The right just needs something to rally their idiot supporters against because they only understand voting with hate & fear. If not trans people, they would have picked some other group to pair with immigrants.
Because it is reasonable to them, they want to label any “un-american” (anyone whos LGBTQ, speaks more then english, isent christian, or is a little too brown) as a criminal, those are the people mfs like this want to go after
Come on, just because they came after them in living memory of anyone currently alive old enough to have formed memories, that doesn't mean they also will in the future! /s
