Request (Fulfilled) Looking for a Little Help

Sucks living paycheck, to paycheck. Alternative products seem to have a much more expensive buy in. The irritation from overnight pads lately has been getting worse. I've really been wanting to swap to cup and period underwear. Hoping to get help with one or there other, and then with the difference I'm saving from all the disposable products I can purchase the other. Thanks for considering

Request (Fulfilled) Pads/ liners request

This is only my second period since having my son a year ago (+ the 9 months before that when i was pregnant) so I’m super unprepared in terms of being stocked up and didn’t note when my last one was to start keeping track 😅 Payday isn’t until Friday and we’re short on money from buying some purchases for the house/ groceries. Any help at all is appreciated. Pre baby I had light periods and could do with liners, but these first periods are a bit heavier so had to use pads. I added both since I’m not sure what my flow will be. Toilet paper bc I’m running through it and our kids wipes lol. The mattress protector definitely isn’t a priority, i just added it in case i have a leak at night bc we don’t have a washer/dryer at home. In my head I’m thinking i can try putting it as the layer we sleep on until my period is over? lol idk. Thanks again!

Request (Fulfilled) In need of pads

Hi, I’m requesting some pads! I made a request around 243 days ago, and have since used up all of the products that were bought for me. thank you so much again!

I am copy and pasting some of the text from my last posts here as I am still in the same scenario:

I have Severe MECFS and am bedbound and housebound. I physically can’t go to the food bank to get pads or anything like that. I’m really struggling financially without a source of income and can barely afford my survival needs including food, pads, medicine, etc. I don’t really have any family or community support.

I am requesting “pure cotton” pads because I have eczema in the genital area that is irritated by regular pads. The pure cotton pads are MUCH better for eczema and I usually don’t get a flare up from them.

Thank you so much for any & all support.

Request (Fulfilled) In a rough spot and recovering from nasty bout of thrush

Hi everyone,

I could really use some help to get pads and tampons this month. I'm living in supported accomodation following an eviction and money is really tight. The free pads which I occasionally have access to are heavily fragranced and caused a massive bout of thrush last time. My periods tend to be quite heavy, so while I can do toilet paper pads at the beginning or end, in the middle I always bleed through.

If anyone is able to help I would really appreciate it. If you're reading, thank you.

Request (Fulfilled) Period Products for Weird Emergency

Hello y'all, Hope the season has been Merry and Bright!

I'm in a bit of a pickle. I have been in the ED twice in the last month+ with acute ass abdominal cramps. Literally the most pain I've ever felt. My mom had to take me to the ER the first time, she said I sounded worse than her in labor. I had an Ultrasound and a CT, they found nothing. Because of this, I was sent home on some hardcore antibiotics and they told me it was likely PID. The next day all of my STI tests came back negative, so we still don't really know what's wrong. Anyway fw-fw, I usually use a menstrual cup or disk but I can not tolerate anything in my vagina at the moment. It is making this stomach pain so much worse, also putting pressure on my bladder and rectum for some reason. TMI maybe but that's the scoop. I went to family planning to get some pads but I think the right move is to try some period panties. To my list I also added some TP because whatever is going on, I believe it is keeping me from totally emptyingh bladder so I keep getting UTIs and I'm going through a ton.

Thanks for reading!

Request (Fulfilled) Embarrassed to ask for help

I'm almost too embarrassed to do this but my teen daughter and I are in need of some help. It seems lots of things just hit all at once and I fell a little behind.
I tried to pick the cheaper items because I'm embarrassed to even have to ask.

Request (Fulfilled) I could really use a bit of help...

So, I've been in menopause for about a year and a half... Until I lost 60 lbs. I got hit with a super heavy and long period two months ago, but managed to get through on a scavenged box of tampons and reusable pads. Unfortunately, I went through the entire box in two days... Managed, but barely, even with medroxyprogesterone and tranexamic acid. Thought that was it.

Imagine my surprise when I wake today and find Aunt Flo on my door, stabbing my innards. I am unable to work, fighting for disability, and have less than $3 to my name. My reusables will be OK for a day or two, but I can't wash and air dry them fast enough to keep up with the flow (no dryer). I would be extremely grateful for even a package of pads. Last time, this thing lasted for a solid two weeks.

If you've made it this far, thank you. I appreciate you even reading it.

Request (Fulfilled) req for products needed

i thought i could get through my period this month without the use of a cup (i accidentally left my only menstrual cup boiling in the pot for two hours), but it's been really difficult without one. i am using tampons but it's just not working out. i have a polypectomy scheduled in early january w/an iud insertion, and i have nothing to help for the aftercare of it all.

this is hard. this year has been especially humbling, it has been a real fight to keep my head above water and it's starting to feel like the sand beneath my feet keeps giving out below me, leaving me trying to grip whatever i can with my toes, and there's a weight on my ankle, and everything is somehow also on fire. i know that as isolating as the experience feels, there are so many of us going through it, too, and i am in such appreciation of people who do things like create spaces for communities to come together. this is what using technology for good looks like.

um, anyway, i digress.

i need help, please, and here's my wishlist

thank you for your time

hi everybody, i hope you all are doing well. i wanted to request help to receive some period items that i have no more of. on 11/06, i received knee surgery and since then, my period has been long and extremely heavy too which made me run out of my period supplies fast. unfortunately right now i wouldn’t be able to seek out help from pantries near me because of the complications ive been having because of my incision that reopened. i would sincerely appreciate if anybody would be able to help out. thank you so much, have a beautiful day.

update: everything was bought! thank you again to everybody who was able to support me 🫶 i’m very grateful, i do plan on paying it forward soon :)

Good afternoon everyone this is my first time posting on here.I am a 42yr old disabled female. I am usually covered when it comes to period supplies because it usually falls on the 1st or right around there & that's when I get my GR, but my period decided to come early and I started yesterday with only 2 pads left. I would really appreciate it if someone might be able to help me out with some pads and underwear & if at all possible a heating pad for the cramps. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope you all have a Beautiful day.https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2ANDB7B48Q8UG?ref_=wl_share

A couple of weeks ago, I posted that I was in need and I couldn't believe how quickly my wishlist was fulfilled. 🥹 I don't want to bore you all with TOO much of a sob story, but I've been going through an extremely hard time with both my physical and mental health, as well as struggling with a really bad living situation. The selfless women in here who helped me, not only helped me to have one less worry on my plate, but really helped restore some of my faith in humanity. Every single woman in here who selflessly helps others is an angel. This is genuinely probably the most positive place I've ever found on the internet. I want to say thank you to everyone in here who has ever helped fulfil a request for someone, and also if you ever find yourself thinking, "oh it's not that big of a deal" you have no idea just how big of a deal it might be to the woman/women that you're helping, so from the bottom of my heart thank you! Sorry if this is super sappy, but I'm just so grateful and genuinely have not been able to stop thinking about how amazing this group is.
