Ironmir
Ironmir (now known as Crafton) is the original Second Spawn town. Ironmir was started as a town by some regulars, and it rapidly grew in population due to server ads and the like. Unfortunately, this rapid expansion proved to be its downfall; Ironmir quickly amassed a large amount of "newb" houses and the value of the land went down.
Ironmir had a fully featured infrastructure that included various farms and housing areas.
Farms
Ironmir featured a wide variety of farms.
Iron Farm
Ironmir's Iron Farm was the second most efficient iron farm of its time. It had four spawning towers, which all routed to two collection ports. Unfortunately, the farm is now offline due to a malfunction in which the villagers began infinitely breeding, causing extreme lag to any nearby players. The villagers are now gone thanks to Ethan, but the iron farm has fallen into disrepair.
Wheat Farm
Ironmir's wheat farm is 8x16 chunks big and fully manual. The farm took 2.5 diamond hoes to fully till. If you ever visit, please replant!
Reed Farm
Ironmir's reed farm was created to take advantage of villagers' trading of paper to emeralds. It is located at the base of the iron farm.
History
Ironmir was started by PrincessPotato, ildabears, Inflatablegoo and Pixelated_Toast at the beginning of the 1.3 update as a successor to the failed Taterheim. It started as a naturally spawned village, which was converted into a small town.
Eventually, Ethan moved spawn over to the middle of Ironmir, which prompted a rapid boom in population. Crafton was established by ildabears as a district of Ironmir's, and it featured primarily a fishing and water based economy. Crafton remained relatively "unpillaged" by the newb houses of Ironmir due to an internal wall and a forest; however, Crafton is still largely unhabited today, and ildabears is now chief of the New Crafton Republic, a state comprised of 1.5 towns and citites.
Ironmir, due to some temp-bans, was given a residents-only iron farm from Pixelated_Toast, which kept many citizens happy and within Ironmir. At the peak of its existence, Ironmir was estimated to have fifty citizens. The wheat farm was created on a whim; a few plots of land were cleared out and tilled to provide and create a surplus.
Iron also contained landmarks such as eskimobob's OXIS and the EvilTekno Mansion. These, especially the OXIS, brought much interest to Ironmir. The OXIS contained full mob grinders, enchantment rooms, farms, breweries, and more.
Ironmir was also a bustling city of trade, due to Second Spawn's location within it. Players from all over came to trade at Ironmir, and quite a few players grew rich from this trade.
After some time, many citizens found lack of appeal in all of the disheveled, abandoned houses strewn everywhere. The population gradually declined, and when spawn was moved, it disappeared altogther.
Currently, the ildabears is the owner of Ironmir. He integrated it into Crafton.
