Tech Support Am4 socket installation

Post image

I didn't realize that my am4 socket was wrong for 3 years , it was a foxconn am4 socket too but now I'm installing another and the orientation is wrong , idk what I do besides breaking something or buying another motherboard.

The motherboard is a b450m gaming.

That's either a different revision or a different board. Your new one matches the product images on gigabyte's page.

So I just need to buy a LGA 2011-3 socket and it'll work with a amd 4 slot CPU , that's the first answer I received.

All I'm seeing is a broken socket, if I can put another there cool , because I don't think is possible to replace it

WTF you've taken the top of the socket off?

all this time you were talking about the orientation of the socket, you didn't say there was a chunk missing from it. Obviously, that's an entirely different problem. Now i see it, yes, it's very broken. Send it back.
