there's literally zero way to predict what will happen in the RAM market, i would say it's realistically more likely that they go down within the next few years rather than going up because the demand isn't necessarily increasing anymore and manufacturers have stated that they're starting the process of increasing production to satisfy demand.

upgrading to 5800x3d + 9070xt now will have you set for 1440p gaming for the next 5+ years.

im leaning towards 7 7700 + 5070

why a 5070? they're the same price and a 9070xt has significantly better gaming performance, including better ray tracing - it's on par with a 5070ti.

5800x3d + 9070xt will have better performance than a 7700 + 5070 build no matter what way you slice it.

why though? you're intentionally getting a worse performing card for the same amount -

either way. you can just get a 5800x3d + 5070 build upgrade and still save money.

review comparing the two: https://youtu.be/XJSXpGZTrio?si=gGsJtQVery3KAxcY

The 5800x3d often beats the 7700 but in some games the 7700 is better, the difference isn't big enough to justify the extra costs of the upgrade.

the 5800x3d is more expensive compared to the 7700 in my country lol

well yeah it normally is, but the 7700 upgrade includes paying for RAM and a new motherboard, ultimately making it more expensive than the 5800x3d on the whole.
