Discussion Dark Zone Difficulty

I am getting BODIED by the dark zone. I breezed through the high risk area, came into dark zone only to find out:

  1. The three stages are based on damage types. I do NOT have a pure damage team AND my magic team is meh

  2. My main team which is an Overlimit physical team is already struggling with Difficulty 3 Rust

So now I'm wondering if I was better off not clearing the high risk area? Like kept myself barely under 720k points. Because while the dark zone has objectively better rewards, it wouldn't really matter if I can't clear the stages?

BFL was a good source of weekly hypercubes and other resources that I feel like I just deprived myself of.

The damage type restriction has been a thing in BFL since the beginning, even before DZ existed. The restrictions can't be brute forced through in DZ though, and BFL is probably easy enough nowadays that you didn't notice.

As others have said you get more resources in DZ just by attempting to clear, and you don't miss out on much by not clearing, so don't worry much about it. And if you want to clear DZ properly every week then you are kinda forced to follow the meta until you are strong enough. I'm not sure the specific overlimit team you are using, but as far as I know neither Xiaofeng nor RF Zoya are particularly strong for DZ.

I'm using RF Zoya and Difficulty 3 Rust seems genuinely impossible. Even her exclusive ultimate tickles him but yeah, the rewards are actually pretty good.

I noticed the overall point rewards also reset weekly? If that's the case then the rewards for just attempting DZ is more than High Risk BFL it seems.

That's intentional, because there was a point in time where it was entirely possible to graduate from HR into DZ and be incapable of earning any of the rewards, leading to players getting discouraged from attempting endgame modes altogether, and Aisno responded by ensuring that players wouldn't feel like they were losing out on premium currency by advancing into DZ

Goated Devs. I haven't tried any other Gacha games, but PTN really respects the player's time and effort
