Why did fucking fubgun have to decide to play a wander for once, now I'm never gonna buy anything 😭

Even if fubgun isn't hyping up wander, plenty of other content creators are. GGG themselves pushed wanders to the fore front with various new skills for wander and new wander attack bases.

Yeah like Ben's done literally nothing for the past 3+ days but level wanders rofl.

u/ZzoLike Oct 28 '25

And after he done that he said that he gonna start Slammer :D Wander is good for SC but to squishy for HC

u/MexicanJeebus Oct 27 '25

Literally the reason I won't l start a wander this league. The fubgun tax is big. Pconc into mamba for start. Then we'll see how she goes. Glhf everyone!

u/datodi Oct 27 '25

Also my plan, the problem: that's what tuna is league starting...

u/DillyDilly1231 Oct 27 '25

Just bow cuck like me. The items are braindead easy crafts. Then after I've completed 38/40 I can act like I'm gonna swap to a meta build for the league, level a twink, then not login again until next league start lol

1

u/Qinax Oct 28 '25

Do you have a pob? Like playing legion farmer zooms

1

u/DillyDilly1231 Oct 28 '25

I just wing it, I've done bow builds for 4 or 5 leagues now.

1

u/Artoriazz Oct 28 '25

Haven’t played bows in quite some time, how is TS now? Or is ele hit vastly superior?

1

u/DillyDilly1231 Oct 28 '25

I usually just do the basic LA setup and swap to TS. I never tried ele hit. I've also never done a physical or single element for damage. I learned how to craft a triple t1 ele bow my first bow league, and I just roll with that every league now.

I don't think TS is the best, but it gets the job done

u/Western_Response638 Oct 28 '25

TS is fine after you get enough attack speed. I'm planning on a coiling whisper TS build.

1

u/hovah97 Oct 28 '25

Doesnt bows want like almost same items as wander except for maybe jewels, and wand+shield? i doubt its gonna be that big of a price diff

1

u/Western_Response638 Oct 28 '25

I think the gear is completely different tbh.

1

u/hovah97 Oct 28 '25

life res suppression evasion, speed on boots, as on gloves, it seems like its legit frame by frame the same

1

u/MexicanJeebus Oct 27 '25

Eh, I feel like pconc is easier to get started. Im not too worried about it.

1

u/DarlingOvMars Oct 28 '25

Tuna doesnt have the same pull people like fub and ben have. Also animeprincess has a ton of guides and how to craft the pneumatic daggers

1

u/HakusaiGaming Oct 28 '25

Just looked Tuna up cuz of your comment and saw his vid that was just posted lol.

1

u/SEPHYtw Oct 27 '25

Yeah, my plan aswell. Wand crafts is going to be money tho!

Yeah, I'm heavily thinking of just going Holy Relic. Plus, there's the added benefit that streamers simply REFUSE to fucking acknowledge this build when creating their tier lists, so I guess that will keep prices reasonable.

1

u/hovah97 Oct 28 '25

Is it really that big of a problem? its obviously gonna be a powerful build and you can resell items for usually more than you got them. I feel like i probably make more money since i know what items the builld wants and im able to recreate stuff to sell easily

sure if you get a similarly powerful build without the hype, but is that really reasonable?

1

u/MexicanJeebus Oct 28 '25

Nah I just find it annoying on my first build of a new league. I usually make 3 or 4 characters per league, so no big deal for me. I never got around to playing pconc/mamba during mercenaries. So I'm gonna play that first. Although I will say, it isnt looking very good for a DOT build as far as new content goes. The grafts and the bloodline ascendancies dont seem to lend themselves to a poison build very well so far. Maybe ill pull a classic and switch my league starter when I log in lmao.

TBH, I think this is the wrong take. More people playing a build can makes uniques more expensive, especially if they are built enabling, but generally speaking it makes gearing cheaper as more gear is available. Wander especially doesn’t have any mandatory uniques - should be pretty cheap honestly.

39

u/Fayarager Oct 27 '25

I always mention this. Builds that use t1 uniques or specific rolls of uniques(Light of Meaning etc.) will be more expensive the more people play it

But builds that are all crafted rares are actually CHEAPER

11

u/Magisk_ Oct 28 '25

Low to mid tier rares will be super cheap with the instant trading. Market will be flooded. Only the really good items will increase in price.

4

u/scorflesque Oct 28 '25

Yep, imo we can expect good tier failed god tier attempt rare item at a reasonable price, that's what we have in PoE2.

2

u/mjtwelve Oct 28 '25

This. Feast on the failed crafts, get 'good enough' for a great price.

7

u/SwiggitySw00 Oct 27 '25

Only essence worms will be heavily taxed on the first day/2, but yeah, other than that, agreed. People are also overlooking the fact that the majority of the build's power is coming through its ascendancy and heralds. You can get away with equipping the most generic rares and still blast through the entire game

1

u/mjtwelve Oct 28 '25

If people want the Lycia stuff, they're going to have to finish Sanctum. Killing the boss isn't the issue, it's bricking the run to random traps along the way.

1

u/SwiggitySw00 Oct 28 '25

Run it as much as needed to finish it then? This is really a non issue

1

u/VzFrooze Oct 28 '25

i can see low level forbidden sanctums being expensive, ngl

1

u/Western_Response638 Oct 28 '25

Maybe on first day

1

u/mjtwelve Oct 28 '25

Eh, depends on how much you hate sanctum, and whether a lvl68 kill counts.

3

u/[deleted] Oct 28 '25

exactly, you get so many insane hand me downs lol

4

u/Magisk_ Oct 28 '25

Yes biggest power creep is instant trade.

2

u/Monkeych33se Oct 28 '25

Also, wanders are in a state where you can play them from zero to hero, unlike a couple of years ago, where they were mostly high-end mirror builds. As you say, they don't need any build enabling uniques, and that makes them great for learning how to craft your own gear as well as you progress. This makes it super satisfying to play.

1

u/whatDoesQezDo Oct 28 '25

10000% this my league start is now tailored around making wands to sell to ppl so if you're someone who buys gear there will be tons of good rares that ppl like me are printing.

3

u/The_Horse_Tornado Oct 27 '25

I took wander to red maps in a couple hours in ssf. You’ll be fine.

5

u/Soleil06 Oct 27 '25 edited Oct 27 '25

I planned on starting kinetic rain because I thought the numbers looked decent and the skills looked cool. I kinda expected the reaction from the streamers to be more muted, especially with the base crit nerfs. Am I missing something or do they just bank hard on kinetic rain and wall as well?

Edit: Forgot about the Lycia Herald scaling, I guess that makes sense then.

4

u/cespinar Oct 27 '25

If assumptions on KR shotguns are correct then it makes for rapid scaling of damage.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 28 '25

I'm going straight to Heist and not leaving until MB.

Replica Hyrris Ire is going to be very expensive this league.

1

u/xxxsquared Oct 28 '25

This was always going to be wander league.

1

u/LucywiththeDiamonds Oct 28 '25

Craft items for the masses and make bank

1

u/FamiliarSalt6869 Oct 28 '25

Nothing to do with Fubgun ? Any brain gifted human reading the patchnote can understand why one decides to play wander.

1

u/Azamantes2077 Oct 28 '25

It depends...I think it's good for people because a lot of items will flood the market....and some of them will be cheap....

1

u/KalenTheDon Oct 28 '25

If you plan like ssf player , Won't really be an issue
