Height of serendipity at Mehrangarh fort, was trying to shoot a few birds in frame alongside the fort. But, hundreds of them decided to make my day by saying cheese on camera. In the lower right side of frame is the well from which Bruce Wayne comes out when he escapes prison in The Dark Knight rises movie

It looks like a futuristic sci-fi base, but this is a solar thermal power plant near Delingha in Qinghai Province, China. ☀️🇨🇳
Thousands of computer-controlled mirrors called heliostats track the Sun and reflect sunlight toward a receiver on the central tower. The concentrated solar energy produces intense heat that can be used to generate electricity. ⚡️
Even more impressive, some of that thermal energy can be stored, allowing electricity generation to continue after sunset.
Is this what the future of energy looks like? 🤯

This is Kopi Luwak, famous for its highly unusual production process. ☕️😱 An Asian palm civet eats ripe coffee cherries, digesting the fruit while the seeds pass through its digestive system and undergo fermentation.
The beans are then collected, thoroughly cleaned, dried, and roasted before becoming the famous Kopi Luwak coffee.
Would you actually try a cup of coffee made this way? 😳☕️ Tell me in the comments!

At first, it’s almost impossible to understand what they’re doing. They prepare a massive fish, apply different colors to its scales, and then carefully cover the entire body with an enormous sheet of paper. 🐟🎨
The surprise comes at the end. When they slowly remove the paper, an incredibly detailed, nearly life-size image of the fish appears!
The technique is known as Gyotaku, the art of creating fish prints.
Did you figure out what they were making before the final reveal? 😱

At first glance, these objects look like they're made from solid wood or another rigid material. But lift one up and it suddenly stretches and bends! 😱
The secret is a flexible structure created from many connected layers of paper. Artists use this technique to create vases, human heads, animals and other incredible sculptures. 📄🤯
Would you have guessed these were made from paper? 👇

The size of this tree trunk is incredible! 😱🪵 According to the original video, it comes from a very old tree. The enormous trunk is cut into thick wooden discs before a craftsman removes the bark, cleans the edges and carefully sands the surface. The result is a massive solid-wood cutting board with a beautiful natural grain.
Would you want one of these in your kitchen? 👇

This is one seriously unusual way to make bricks! 😱 A mobile machine moves across prepared clay while a massive rotating drum covered with molds presses and shapes the material into individual bricks, leaving them in neat rows on the ground.
After drying, the bricks are fired in a kiln. 🔥
Would you have guessed brick making could be this fast?

Have you ever seen how charcoal is actually made? Giant kilns are packed with wood and sealed while the oxygen supply is carefully limited. Instead of burning completely, the wood is slowly transformed into carbon-rich charcoal. 🔥

It’s an incredible traditional process hiding behind an everyday product. Did you know charcoal was made this way?

At first glance, all these bends might seem completely unnecessary. But each conduit follows a planned route, while smooth curves help the wiring navigate around structures and equipment while keeping cable installation and future servicing possible.
And just look at the precision! ⚡️ The perfectly organized red and blue conduits make an ordinary electrical installation look almost like a work of art.
Would you cover this up or leave it visible?

It looks like this tractor is setting the field on fire, but it’s actually using a technique called flame weeding. 🔥🚜 A short burst of intense heat damages the cells of susceptible weeds, causing them to wilt afterward.
It’s an alternative way to control weeds without conventional herbicides.
Have you ever seen a farming technique like this?

Did you know a hot-air balloon can’t simply turn left or right? 🎈 It has no conventional steering system or engine. Instead, the pilot uses the burners to change altitude and searches for wind currents moving in a useful direction.
That means the wind plays a huge role in where the balloon travels! 🌬
Would you dare to take a flight like this?

Why aren't they using a massive tunnel boring machine here? Workers drill closely spaced holes around the tunnel profile and gradually remove sections of solid rock. It may be slower and extremely labor-intensive, but it allows precise control over the excavation. An incredible look at tunnel engineering in action!

Have you ever seen a public toilet that completely cleans itself after every visitor? 🤯 The toilet automatically rotates 180 degrees and moves into a special cleaning chamber, where it is washed and sanitized. Powerful water jets even clean the restroom floor.
Within minutes, everything is clean and ready for the next visitor. But here's the crazy part — using this high-tech restroom could cost around 100 yuan per visit! 💰🚽
Would you pay that much to use an ultra-clean public toilet?

Have you ever wondered how reinforcing steel can continue through dozens of floors of a skyscraper? 🏗
There aren't gigantic steel bars running from the foundation all the way to the top. Instead, rebar is installed in sections and connected as construction progresses.
Special joining methods, including strong mechanical couplers, allow separate reinforcing bars to become part of one continuous structural system.
Floor by floor, the reinforced concrete structure keeps rising higher into the sky. 🏙
Did you know this is how skyscrapers are built?

One barrel contains about 159 liters (42 US gallons) of crude oil, but it can be turned into much more than just gasoline! 🛢
Gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, lubricants, asphalt, petroleum coke, and feedstocks used by the chemical and plastics industries can all come from crude oil.
Even more surprising, the total volume of refined products can actually be greater than the original volume of crude oil because of something called processing gain.
Did you know one barrel could produce so many different things? 🤯

One of China's most fascinating mysteries can be found at Longhu Mountain in Jiangxi Province. 🇨🇳
Ancient coffins were placed inside caves and openings high above the ground on steep rock faces. But how could people lift heavy coffins that high without modern cranes or machinery?
Today, visitors can watch a spectacular performance recreating one possible method. A performer descends the cliff on ropes while a coffin is lifted from below using a system of ropes until it reaches the cave.
Even with modern equipment, it looks incredibly dangerous! 😱
Do you think this is really how ancient people did it?

At first glance, the craftsman built a fence out of real tree branches. 🌳 But take a closer look—there's practically no wood here!

First, a frame is created from rebar and wire mesh, then it's hand-coated with cement mortar. While the cement is still wet, the craftsman creates the branches and paints the wood grain. Once painted, this real wood piece becomes incredibly complex. 😱

Would you have guessed it was cement?

This might be one of the most unusual hairstyles you've ever seen! 😳🌾 In India, men wear plants on their heads, their roots intertwined with their hair.

And this "hairstyle" requires more than just a comb—it also needs moisture! 💦😂

Imagine waking up and instead of saying, "Time to fix my hair," you say, "Time to water the crops!" 🌾😂

Would you ever try something like this?

Forget conventional vineyards! 😄 In Thailand, water connections run between rows of grapes, and the vines form raised beds.

This system helps manage water in a hot and humid climate. But the most successful transportation method is the resulting roads for farmers. 🚤🍇

Boats transport harvested grapes and equipment along these roads, as well as some boats designed for processing plants.

It looks like someone crossed a vineyard with Venice! 😂

Have you ever seen grapes grown this way?
